The long-awaited installment of the franchise will explore new territory within the franchise, which its viewers have been calling for, for a few years.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the new show will cater to those 60 and up who are looking for love!
The show will "feature a man and a group of women on the other side of 60 looking for love. The show will be part of ABC's strike-proof, all-unscripted schedule in the fall," the publication adds.

A press release for the show goes more in-depth about "The Golden Bachelor."
"...After more than 20 years of fostering young love on 'The Bachelor,' 'The Bachelorette,' 'Bachelor In Paradise,' 'The Golden Bachelor' showcases a whole new kind of love story- one for the golden years. On this all-new unscripted series, one hopeless romantic is given a second chance at love in the search for a partner with whom to share the sunset years of life,' the press release continues. "The women arriving at the mansion have a lifetime of experience, living through love, loss, and laughter, hoping for a spark that ignites a future full of endless possibilities. In the end, will our Golden man turn the page to start a new chapter with the woman of his dreams?" it concludes.
ABC would revisit the concept of a show featuring older singles earlier in 2023 after it had been put on hold due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; THR revealed the casting call had begun just before the pandemic began.
Not much is known about the series as of this writing!
'The Golden Bachelor' Will Air Shortly After Charity Lawson Has Her Second Chance To Find Love
Charity Lawson was introduced to Bachelor Nation during Zach Shallcross' season of "The Bachelor" earlier this year.
He and Lawson struck up a connection until her elimination. Shallcross is currently engaged to Kaity Biggar.
Lawson was announced as the next leading 'Bachelorette' lady during Shallcross' "Women Tell All" episode. Lawson shared her feelings as she made the promotional circuit in March.
She described her new 'title' and opportunity as "an indescribable feeling" during an interview with GMA. "I am so honored, so excited. I still feel like I'm dreaming, so still processing what those feelings are like, but I am definitely so excited for what's to come," Lawson told Sam Champion. (per The Blast)
