Chris Pratt Catches Fire For Excluding Anna Faris From Mother's Day Tribute Post

Fans are coming for Chris Pratt again regarding his ex-wife Anna Faris.

The "Super Mario Bros" star and Faris were married for about eight years, and nearly a year after their divorce, he got involved with his now-wife Katherine Schwarzenegger.

During the recently-concluded Mother's Day celebration, Pratt went all out for the crucial women and maternal figures in his life but made the gross mistake of excluding Faris, the mother of his first child. Fans didn't take this error lightly.

Pratt marked this year's Mother's Day like many celebs worldwide — with a celebratory post on Instagram, appreciating all the moms he knows.

His post featured a beautiful family photo of himself, his wife, Schwarzenegger, her mother, Maria Shriver, and his mother, Kathy, all grinning at the camera.

The 43-year-old added a heartfelt note, explicitly acknowledging the three women and beginning with: "Happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there. Especially grateful today for Katherine." He continued praising the author, calling her "a wonderful partner" and noting that she had provided him with "such a blessed life."

Pratt then wrote that their two daughters were "so lucky" to have her, after which he named her the "best stepmama" Jack.

Subsequently, in honor of his mother and mother-in-law, he expressed gratitude for their influence in his life before concluding with a thank you to "all of the other moms in my life." Despite mentioning all mothers in his message, people dragged him into the comment section for failing to include Faris by name. 

One user remarked, "Oh yes, let's leave out Jack's mom, who gave you your first child." A second stated, "Back at it again with the shitty treatment of his first family."

One more commenter appreciated Pratt's acknowledgment of the three women in his tribute but also believed it would not have cost him anything to honor his ex-wife. They penned, "That was a very nice recognition of the mothers in your life, wife, mom, mom-in-law. However, it could not have killed you to acknowledge the mother of your first child by name [sic] – like, really!"

Another pissed fan asked sarcastically, "And our another baby mama?". At the same time, this disappointed follower penned, "That's not right, I've lost so much respect for you and the fact of NOT ACKNOWLEDGING your first child's mom bc the fact that she's doing more with constant doctor visits and has been there for your 1st child the least thing you could do is thank her as the mother of YOUR 1st child."

Not everyone had it out for the "Moneyball" star, as a few slammed his critics for not minding their business. One such fan stressed, "Some things aren't for the internet. Maybe he sent her a message…maybe he didn't. Maybe she's a woman who doesn't need her ex's validation."

Another supporter mentioned, "People acting like they praise their exes! Let the man live! He said, "ALL moms," that includes his ex. Get over yourselves."

This isn't the first time the "Terminal List" star has been slammed for treating Faris poorly, especially on social media. Pratt gained as much disapproval when he celebrated his wife, mom, sister, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law on International Women's Day without including Faris.

He honored the women with pictures and a lovely message with which critics were not so taken as they bashed him. One wrote, "You're forgetting your ex-wife who birthed your beautiful son."

Another lamented, "Why is it that when Chris Pratt talks about his current wife and kids with her that it sounds like he's shitting on Anna Faris and their kid together lol.

Pratt has gained criticism for rarely acknowledging their ex-wife, but he has also been attacked for his faith which he opened up about in a chat with Page Six. During the interview, he stated that the backlash was "nothing new," and he chose to ignore them. Citing a Bible passage to explain his decision, he shared:

"If I were of this world, they would love me just like that, but I've chosen out of this world as it is. That's John 15:18 through 20."

The "Jurassic World" actor then referenced Jesus's deal with haters millennia ago, noting, "That's the way it is, nothing new; 2,000 years ago, they hated him, too." When asked how he handled critics, Pratt said he kept driving forward with thick skin like a rhino and stuck his horn up the a**es of those who got in his way.
