Chris Pratt is set to reprise his role as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the upcoming film, “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3”.
As he gets fans excited about the new Marvel movie, the 43-year-old is taking to social media to rank his favorite songs from the first film. However, Pratt’s song list is getting fans riled up as they disagree with his rankings.
Chris Pratt Causes Controversy With Ranking Of ‘Guardians’ Songs
In a new TikTok video, Chris Pratt ranked the songs from “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 1” to promote his upcoming film, “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3”.
He ranked 12 of the songs from the first Marvel film while dancing to each one and having a great time — however, some of his rankings are causing some controversy in the comments section.
The video starts with a bang as “Hooked On A Feeling” begins to play, which Pratt put in third place. “Go All The Way” was next, which Pratt placed in ninth place, followed by “Spirit In The Sky,” which took the Marvel actor’s second place spot.
Pratt’s number one song from the first film is “I Want You Back,” with “Come And Get Your Love” falling to number five. His complete list goes as follows:
- “I Want You Back”
- “Spirit In The Sky”
- “Hooked On A Feeling”
- “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”
- “Come And Get Your Love”
- “I’m Not In Love”
- “Cherry Bomb”
- “O-O-H Child”
- “Go All The Way”
- “Moonage Daydream”
- “Fooled Around and Fell In Love”
- “Escape (The Pina Colada Song)”
Chris Pratt Gets Hate For His Rankings
The controversial choice getting everyone talking was Pratt’s “Come And Get Your Love” ranking, which everyone feels should have been much higher on the list — if not number one.
“Pratt doesn’t like ‘Come and Get Your Love’ for the fact he had to listen to it over and over again filming the first ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,” one fan hilariously commented as another chimed in, “Sorry, but ‘Come and Get Your Love’ will always be number 1.”
A third expressed, “‘Hooked On a Feeling and ‘Come and Get Your Love’ will always have a special place in my heart.”
Others could not believe Pratt placed “Escape” as his least favorite song. One fan commented, “Putting ‘Escape’ last is a criminal offense,” and another wrote, “I need to hear why he hates Piña Coladas 😭.”
“Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3”
Chris Pratt is set to reprise his role as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the third installment of the Marvel franchise, “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Vin Diesel will return to voice Groot alongside Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket. Zoe Saldana is also set to reprise her role as Gamora, while Dave Bautista returns as Drax.
The description for “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3” reads, “Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe and protect one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”
“Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3” is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2023.
