Francia Raisa Shares Hateful Comment She Received
Francia Raisa has opened up about the severe bullying she's received following her decision to speak out about her broken relationship with Selena Gomez after donating a kidney to the singer.
According to TMZ, the "How I Met Your Father" actress revealed that she received hateful comments for artfully dodging questions about Gomez in an interview. In the interview, she was asked about possibly rekindling her relationship with Gomez on social media, but Raisa refused to comment.
However, when asked if she would consider organ donation, the "Grown-ish" actress appeared more interested in guiding and educating others about the process.
During her chat with TMZ, Raisa explained that the constant bullying and vitriolic comments have affected her mental health. She also shared one particularly hurtful message, which reads, "I hope someone goes up your p***y and rips out your other kidney, you f***ing whore."
The actress condemned the horrible comments and referenced Gomez's call to end online bullying.
Francia Raisa Calls For An End To Online Bullying
Raisa expressed confusion over the bullying she's received from the "Selenators" Gomez's fan base, especially since the pop star took a public stance against such behavior. Gomez has been a vocal advocate for kindness and has even called out instances of bullying herself.
For example, Gomez spoke out against the hate and negativity directed towards Rhode beauty creator Hailey Bieber, who had allegedly been receiving death threats. Gomez condemned the bullying in a statement posted on her Instagram Story: " Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity."
"This isn't what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I've always advocated for kindness and want this all to stop," Gomez wrote. Raisa echoes the singer's message, calling for ending all online hate and bullying.
Francia Raisa Donates Kidney To Selena Gomez
Gomez and Raisa's friendship dates back to their childhood acting days, and the two became close over the years. In 2017, when Gomez's battle with Lupus caused her kidney to fail, Raisa donated one of hers. This organ donation surgery brought the two closer together, with the "Lose You To Love Me" singer expressing her gratitude to Raisa for saving her life.

In an appreciation post, Gomez shared post-surgery photos on Instagram with a heartfelt caption. "I'm very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn't promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of," she wrote. "So I found out I needed a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health," she continued.
She expressed her gratitude to the "Beyond Paradise" actress, writing, "There aren't words to how I can thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift."
'Sorry I Didn't Mention Everyone I Know
Gomez and Raisa's close friendship hit a rough patch in November when Gomez stated in an interview that Taylor Swift was the only person she was close to in the music industry.
The fallout from the singer's statement went viral, with Raisa leaving a since-deleted comment of "interesting" under the post and unfollowing Gomez on social media.
The pop star later defended herself, saying, "Sorry I didn't mention every person I know." In March, Gomez expressed gratitude towards Raisa, saying that she'll "never, ever, be more in debt to a person than Francia." However, it's unclear whether the two have reconciled or if Raisa feels the same.
