Bindi Irwin is honoring her father amid her recovery.

The daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin recently underwent surgery for endometriosis. Despite this, she stepped out with her family to celebrate his life and legacy at a gala in his honor.

The late television personality tragically passed away in 2006 while filming a documentary when he was pierced in the chest by a stingray barb. Since then, his family has proudly carried on his work by continuing to advocate for animal welfare and conservation.

On Saturday evening, Bindi and her mother, Terri, and brother, Robert, hosted a gala dinner in tribute to her late father at the elegant SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. Taking to her Instagram page, the actress shared a selfie of herself and her husband, Chandler Powell, at the event. The couple looked vibrant and happy as they smiled at the camera.

The 24-year-old penned a sweet note to her beau in the caption that read, "My date to the #SteveIrwinGala 🤎. @chandlerpowell Thank you for being such a supportive, kind, incredible person who I love with all my heart. Tonight was so special. More photos to come…." Powell responded by writing a heartwarming message that read:

"I love you so much. I have the most amazing and beautiful date ❤️ I'm the luckiest man alive."

Her followers also expressed their love for the picture by describing them as a "beautiful couple." This user noted, "You two look so good together ❤️❤️," while another admirer wrote, "Love Love Love the love you have for one another ❤️." A third netizen complimented Bindi, stating, "You're so beautiful as always, Bindi." A fourth admirer also penned, "You guys are so adorable🎈🙌❤️."

In another post, the mother-of-one showed off her family's fun side by uploading a short clip of her brother executing a well-timed jump in front of her. The video was set to Van Galen's song "Jump." Alongside the humorous post, she wrote, "Wait for it….. @robertirwinphotography #SteveIrwinGala." 

In a video set to The Beatles' song "Here Comes The Sun," her family was seen posing for pictures on her Instagram story. Bindi looked stunning in a black top, a blazer, and a long floral skirt, wore her wavy brunette locks down, and kept her makeup to a minimum. 

In a touching tribute to her beloved late father, she wore a beautiful gold necklace adorned with a photo of him. The Irwin family matriarch opted for a stylish black high-neck top, perfectly tucked into a matching floral skirt.

The 58-year-old wore striking gold shoes and opted for a sleek, straight hairstyle. Robert also looked sharp and sophisticated in a classic black tuxedo paired with a khaki button-up shirt. He accessorized with a black tie and a watch.

The "DWTS" alum recently released a video detailing her endometriosis journey and expressed her immense gratitude towards her family in the caption. The Blast shared that she also appreciated the Australia Zoo and Wildlife Warriors team, friends, and followers. 

In the video, the "Curious George" voice actor recalled noticing symptoms like "extreme fatigue, nausea, and pain" when she was 14. She pointed out that she experienced pain every day as opposed to only during periods. 

She explained further that she "had every blood test you can imagine for tropical diseases" to figure out her problem. The reality TV star disclosed after the surgery in the US, the doctors discovered 37 lesions and a chocolate cyst. She shared that her recovery process was extensive and learned that "excision surgery is the gold standard" before cautioning against ablation. 

Following her recovery, Irwin took to Instagram in April to share a heartwarming photo of herself looking healthy and happy. In the image, she sat on a wooden log at the zoo, holding a meerkat in her hands, while another one sat beside her.

Her smile radiated contentment, indicating how glad she was to return to the zoo after her ordeal. She wrote in the caption, "There's something so wonderful about meerkats. Spending time with these sweethearts is like watching a real-life soap opera. I love it. 🧡 @australiazoo."
