Eyewitnesses inside the resort tell The Blast, legendary pitcher Greg Maddux hosted an exclusive weekend event for the Baller Dream Foundation at Circa, the most sports-centric resort, and casino in Las Vegas, to help raise awareness and provide experiences for young warriors battling cancer.

Celebrities such as Frank Thomas, Deryk Engelland, Daniel Carlson, Shane Victorino, and Goose Gossage, to mention a few, helped promote the foundation's weekend-long event in the days leading up to the grand Celebrity Poker Tournament at Legacy Club on the 60th floor for the final day. A roster of celebrities enjoyed a private dinner at the city’s finest steakhouse, Barry's Downtown Prime, before making their way to Circa's outdoor amphitheater pool, Stadium Swim, for an exclusive welcome party the next day, where the CEO and owner of Circa, Derek Stevens, met up with everyone.

Later that night, COO David Rosborough and the King of Vegas, Derek Stevensgot a few pitching tips from the professor, Greg Maddux, on how to pitch like a mad dog. By the end of the Baller Dream Celebrity Poker Tournament, five winners were congratulated with $150K in cash.

If that wasn't enough, shocked fans got up close and personal with Mark Wahlberg, who keep the party going. Wahlberg stunned fans as he made his way behind the bar to begin offering everyone a taste of his tequila, Flecha Azul. At the sight of his surprise visit, selfies and videos were being captured from every angle, and before making his way to Circa Bar, Wahlberg thanked everyone for joining him with a group tequila cheer.

Of course, Barry’s Downtown Prime consistently serves a celebrity-packed guest list which included Salvatore Ferragamo II, the owner of II Borro Winery and grandson of luxury brand, Salvatore Ferragamo, highly recognizable for its designs in leather goods, who was treated to a gourmet dining experience, specially prepared by restaurant co-owner/namesake Chef Barry Dakake, after an event with his lovely wife, Christine Ferragamo. As always, an exclusive tasting of a curated menu was presented to the couple along with a wine toast from Salvatore’s winery, which is currently found on Chef Barry’s menu. The renowned chef continued their celebration by giving a tour of the kitchen, and the three smiled for a photo to remember the moment.

The same night, famous YouTube star Matt Carriker, known as Demolition Ranch with 11.3 million subscribers, and Circa executive, Richard Wilk,were catching up with each other over dinner. UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC Light Heavyweight World Champion, Tito Ortiz, made his way over to the restaurant, looking forward to meeting up with his good friend, Wilk. Carriker and the MMA fighter met for the first time with Richard and got an inside look at the kitchen with Chef Barry and it was the perfect way to capture the scene with a group photo.
