Maya Vander's second pregnancy has sparked an intriguing debate on social media.
Although the "Selling Sunset" star did not make any formal announcement to her followers, many people assumed she was expecting thanks to the bump seen in a recent video, prompting them to congratulate her.
However, that move was frowned upon by others who believed that congratulatory messages should wait until the alleged mom-to-be had put out an official statement about it. The back and forth comes nearly a year and a half since Vader disclosed that she had experienced a stillbirth at 38 weeks in December 2021.
Maya Vander's Supposed Pregnant Ignited A Lesson On Congratulatory Etiquette From Netizens
After years of expressing her desire to have another baby after the stillbirth and a subsequent miscarriage in June 2022, PEOPLE has reported that Vader is pregnant again. Per the outlet, the good news was confirmed by an insider on behalf of the 39-year-old brunette.
Just before the confirmation, the television personality alluded to the possibility of the information when she uploaded a video showcasing a luxurious listing she recently bagged. The clip, which showed her in an all-black outfit as she talked about the Miami Beach home, highlighted her protruding stomach for a few seconds.
As expected, fans immediately took over her comment section with their expressions of joy, as one person exclaimed, "So happy to see you pregnant!!!" A second fan wrote, "Congratulations on this listing and your new precious baby 😍😍," and a third claimed, "I see a baby bump."
"No one cares about the property; we are all too busy being happy for this beautiful baby bump!!! Wishing you many blessings," another netizen declared. Unfortunately, a few people took offense at the happy reactions from others, and one of them expressed:
"It's never ok to assume a pregnancy and especially when someone has had a loss. Wait until a pregnancy is announced before congratulating!"
A second observer noted that it was inappropriate to drop comments "regarding whether she is pregnant or not," A third chimed that it was "rude" to congratulate someone unless they had announced the good news of their pregnancy.
Even Vader had neglected to answer the questions about her bump, choosing to focus on selling the beachfront listing, which was going for $2.7 million. The real estate agent has also continued working on regaining her balance since she lost her stillborn son, whom she and her husband, Dave Miller, had planned to name Mason.
The mother-of-two previously shared tips that helped her through her grief to assist others like her. In an Instagram post dated June 15, 2022, she stated:
"My advice is to get to work, socialize with people, get your body moving (endorphins), and talk to someone. I know the pain of loss won't heal overnight, but Today is a great day to begin or continue furthering the healing process."
In a more recent update, she and Miller honored Mason's memory by donating a playground to a childcare center in Florida; The Blast reported last month.

Even though Vader made a tough decision to leave "Selling Sunset" and The Oppenheim Group after the fifth season, she has remained current with the company's tea. In a September 2022 interview, she admitted:
"I already know there is some drama behind the scenes. Somehow I know everything, even though I'm in Miami."
She also touched on her former co-star Christine Quinn's exit, disclosing that people who were "concerned" about the loss of "one of the dramatic agents at the office" would be "pleasantly surprised" by the unending stream of "drama" and "real estate."
Since leaving the hit Netflix show, Vader has attained new heights, including founding her company, The Maya Vander Group. She also signed a partnership deal with 1060 App, a short-form video service that allows her to show her listings to interested buyers and renters globally from her phone.
Speaking of the partnership, the entrepreneur gushed about it being a "pretty cool" way for those in real estate to "share a lot of information," such as their listings. She also considered it a "great way" for realtors to "network and connect" with one another.
