'Selling Sunset' Alum Maya Vander Revealed 'There Has Been No Shortage Of Drama' In Season 6

Maya Vander may have departed from "Selling Sunset" after season 5 but she's still in the know with what's coming in season 6. She wants viewers to know there will be no shortage of drama in the upcoming season. "I think a lot of people were concerned when we lost one of the dramatic agents at the office," Vander told PEOPLE, referring to Christine Quinn's exit from the show. "But I think everyone's going to be very, very pleasantly surprised. There has been no shortage of drama or real estate."

Vander, 40, was an original cast member on the series since 2019 but made the tough decision to not return to the hit Netflix show for the upcoming seasons. "I decided not to go on with the show and it was not an easy decision. Being a part of such a successful hit is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful," she said. After working on two coasts for a while, Vander made the decision to stay in Florida full time meaning she will not be commuting to Los Angeles to film the show any longer.

Despite being in Florida, the reality star still knows what's going on in The Oppenheim Group. "I already know there is some drama behind the scenes," she said. "Somehow I know everything, even though I'm in Miami." While Vander has the ability to spill the tea, she doesn't want to reveal too much. "Obviously 'Selling Sunset' is a great show. They have two new girls in the cast. I don't know Bre [Tiesi]. I exchanged messages with her. She seems nice," she explained. "Nicole [Young] I've known for a very long time. I like her. She's a great agent. She's always been an agent in The O Group, and I have respect for her."

Being the founder of The Maya Vander Group in Florida keeps the realtor busy. She has also partnered with the new 1060 app, which allows her to show her listings to buyers and renters worldwide from her phone using short videos. "It's almost like, Instagram slash TikTok, but just for real estate," she explained. "So it's pretty cool because you can share a lot of information, your listings, details from all the places. I think it's a great way for us agents to connect and network."

The mom of two opened up to E! News last December about the loss of her baby boy, Mason, in a stillbirth at 38 weeks. "I didn't have the chance to connect to him as much but it just kills me that he didn't get the love that I could've possibly given him, because I was ready," she said. "It's just not fair to him. I just don't know what happened, so that's the closure that I still don't have."

In June, the reality star discussed the healing process on Instagram in a post captioned, "I have women (who might be going through the something similar) ask me how I’m doing after my stillbirth & pregnancy loss and how I’m able to continue pushing forward with my daily life. Everyone handles loss in their own way, but for me I find the key is to stay busy - a healthy distraction always keeps me going. My advice is get to work, socialize with people, get your body moving (endorphins?), and talk to someone. From my own experiences, I know the pain of loss won’t heal overnight, but today is a great day to begin or continue furthering the healing process. ???"

No release date has been announced for "Selling Sunset" seasons 6 and 7 yet. Seasons 1 through 5 are currently streaming on Netflix.
