"Selling Sunset's" fifth season was chock full of the series' signature dramatic flair!

From the storylines, (did Christine Quinn really bribe a client?), to the behind-the-scenes gossip revealed at the reunion, (Chrishell Stause has a new partner!), the latest season of Netflix's reality TV hit certainly gave fans something to talk about!

Unfortunately, not every bit of news coming out of the "Selling Sunset" camp had been celebratory.

Maya Vander, a longtime Oppenheim Group agent with a steadfast ability to be a voice of reason in the office, announced she would no longer be working at the Oppenheim Group or appear on future seasons of the series late last month.

Why Is Vander Saying Goodbye To "Selling Sunset?"

The Blast reported on the news of Vander's departure from the show after it broke. Vander had chosen to break her news in a text post on her Instagram story where she also congratulated her former co-stars on the renewal of the series for two additional seasons.

Vander's colorful text post read, "I decided not to go on with the show, and it was not an easy decision," she began, "Being a part of such a successful hit is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful," she continued.

She had also included a 'praying hands' emoji after congratulating the "Selling Sunset" crew on a two-season renewal, wishing the show luck in earning an Emmy nod or two; the series did go on to earn one nomination!

Vander's decision to bid farewell to the brokerage and the series revolved around her priority needs.

Per our report, sources close to Vander had told TMZ "Logistically, it's been tough for her," in reference to Vander's frequent travel between Miami, where her business is located, and The Oppenheim Group's Los Angeles quarters, "Flying back and forth from Miami to Los Angeles has been a lot, and it's stressful."

Her departure has not inspired any hard feelings between her former co-stars. The source also added she will "continue to be on good terms" with the Oppenheim Group ladies.

Mending A Broken Heart

"Selling Sunset" fans also became aware of Vander's heartbreaking loss during the fifth season's reunion. She announced she had miscarried at 10 weeks.

Vander discussed her pregnancy loss in an interview with People.

Per The Blast's report, Vander shared, "I had a very crazy week. Miscarriage after 10 weeks, following my stillbirth, but my kids and my husband are my blessings, and I am so lucky to be their mother!! They bring me joy and happiness in my life!! Hug and love the people you care about. Don't take things for granted!" she concluded.

Could Vander also be feeling brokenhearted over her decision to leave "Selling Sunset?" While we know making the decision not to return to "Selling Sunset" had been difficult for her, Vander is now speaking out and detailing her thoughts about leaving the show.

"I think I'm always going to have regrets [about leaving 'Selling Sunset']," Vander revealed to Us Weekly, "But at the end of the day... I have priorities, and my priorities are my family and taking care of myself," she shared.

Vander also acknowledged the painful year she had just experienced. "I had a very stressful [year], obviously," she continued to the outlet, "with my pregnancy loss, so I think it was the right decision."

Another element that contributed to Vander's decision to begin the next chapter of her life story, was the massive amount of change she underwent since the series began.

"When I started the show, I was pregnant. I didn't have kids and now I have two. I've been told that I'm always invited to big events, so maybe I'll show up, but I don't know. We'll see," she concluded.

Fingers crossed we will see Maya Vander pop up on "Selling Sunset" in the future!
