English singer and songwriter Ozzy Osbourne has made public his yearnings to get back on stage, doing what he loves to do best - sing.

Ozzy, who previously announced that he was retiring from performing and touring earlier this year after suffering several health challenges, claimed he doesn't know how to do anything other than achieve.

The singer is set to headline the inaugural edition of the Power Trip metal festival coming up later in August alongside Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Tool.

After a long hiatus from touring, legendary rock musician Ozzy Osbourne has expressed his eagerness to get back on stage and perform in front of his fans, per the New York Post. As affectionately known by his fans, the Prince of Darkness recently suffered several health complications and has been out of the touring circuit since early this year.

In an interview with Metal Hammer Magazine, Ozzy, 74, spoke about his desire to hit the road again and how much he misses the thrill of performing live.

"I mean, doing a live show is what I live for," he said. "I've had to cancel my 2023 European tour, but I'm determined to get back onstage."

"The Diary of A Madman" singer explained that he's got to do more gigs and wouldn't mind being pushed around in a wheelchair.

"I mean, you can't retire from this game. It's not a job; it's a f*cking passion. I don't know how to do anything else."

In February, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman announced that he would be retiring from touring and canceled all his upcoming shows as he continued to recuperate. The rock star has been struggling with several medical issues, including Parkinson's disease and a spinal injury he sustained during an accident.

Ozzy acknowledged his fans and apologized to them, noting that he "never would have imagined" that his touring days would ever end like they did.

"I am honestly humbled by the way you've all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realization that I'm not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn't deal with the travel required," he said.

This news came as a blow to fans eagerly anticipating the rock icon's return to the stage. Despite his health struggles, Ozzy has remained active recently, releasing his latest solo album, "Patient Number 9," in 2022. With the release, he scored his first No. 1 on Billboard's top album sales chart and later won two Grammys, Best Rock Album and Best Metal Performance, for the project in February.

According to The Sun, Sharon Osbourne recently shared an emotional update on her husband's deteriorating health. According to the news outlet, she opened up about the difficulties that he has been facing and how it has been affecting their family.

Sharon, who took a break from TV presenting to care for her husband, said it was "torturous" to see him suffer.

"Ozzy's Achilles' heel has always been his lungs, so getting something like COVID that affects your breathing and all of that was just torturous," Sharon shared. 

She added, "It has been tough. Ozzy has been plagued medically by different things that have been wrong. It is like one thing leads to another, then another."

Ozzy Osbourne Was Seen Walking Without Aid

According to Page Six, Ozzy was recently spotted walking around without a cane or help in Los Angeles amid his ongoing Parkinson's disease diagnosis, a welcome sight for fans following his health struggles recently.

The singer was dressed in an all-black ensemble from his head to his feet, including his shoes. He also wore his long hair down in its usual style.

In a previous chat with The Guardian, the musician credited his wife for helping him through the challenging times, claiming he'd be "f*cking gone" without her support.
