Actor Jamie Foxx and his daughter, Corinne Foxx, will not appear as the hosts for season 6 of "Beat Shazam."
At this time, reports indicate that the "They Cloned Tyrone" actor is still hospitalized following his "medical complication" last month. With production on the Fox reality show already underway, they had to tap new talent to continue the show.
Although Corinne usually serves as the show's DJ, that role will be taken over by TV personality Kelly Osbourne. The host of the show, which has been played by Foxx for five seasons, will now be taken over by "The Masked Singer" host Nick Cannon.

The news was released on Wednesday after Kelly Osbourne shared a video on her Instagram Stories from inside the DJ booth. Shortly after, the show’s social media pages put out a short statement regarding the new hosts.
“Beat Shazam has been an unscripted mainstay on the FOX schedule for six seasons and counting,” they wrote. Although the show has yet to be renewed for a seventh season, the statement makes it seem promising.
“This season, not wanting fans of the game show to miss a minute of the fun, Nick Cannon has offered to fill in as guest host for his friends, Jamie and Corinne Fox. Kelly Osbourne will be filling in as guest DJ,” they added.
“Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues with his recovery, and we greatly appreciate Nick’s willingness to jump in and help this summer,” the statement concluded.
Corinne shared the message to her Instagram Stories, writing, “Thank you so much @nickcannon and @kellyosbourne for filling in this season! We are so pumped for season 6!”
Nick then shared that message to his Instagram Stories, writing, “This is your House Big Bro!! I’m nothing without you!! I love you!!” alongside a prayer hands emoji.
Jamie Foxx then took to Instagram on Wednesday afternoon, for the first time since his health scare. “Appreciate ya my boy @nickcannon,” he wrote. “See u [sic] all soon.”

On Wednesday afternoon, shortly after the announcement of the two new “Beat Shazam” hosts, Jamie took to Instagram to share a brief message with his followers for the first time since his health scare began.
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” he wrote alongside a handful of emojis. Fans and famous friends showered the most with love, including fitness trainer Senada Greca, who commented, “So happy to see this message! Sending you much love” alongside a prayer hands emoji.
On April 12, Corinne clued fans into the fact that something was wrong with Jamie's health with a short message posted on her Instagram page. She began: “From the Foxx Family: We Wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to the quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” she concluded, wrapping up her statement with, “Much love, The Foxx Family.”
Jamie Foxx Awake And Alert... But Still Hospitalized
Over a week later, on April 21, an insider told PEOPLE magazine that the Oscar-winning actor was “awake and alert” following a "medical complication." However, they wanted to keep him hospitalized and monitor his progress.
"He's OK, thank God," a source said at the time. "He's still in the hospital and doctors are running tests but he's awake and alert. They're keeping him under observation."
Current reports suggest that Foxx is still in the hospital, although it's a good sign that he is back to using social media. Fans hope that he will be discharged soon, but it sounds like he will be recovering at home for a while following this health scare.
Although the Foxx family has not disclosed what caused this medical emergency, sources have clarified that the incident happened in Georgia while he was filming his new movie "Back In Action." However, the incident reportedly did not happen while he was on set.
