On April 12, Corinne Foxx, the daughter of multi-talent Jamie Foxx, took to Instagram to share a statement about the health of her father.

“From the Foxx Family: We Wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to the quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”

“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” she concluded, wrapping up her statement with, “Much love, The Foxx Family.”

Although fans were sure that he would be back home soon, it seems that the "They Clone Tyrone" actor is still in the hospital, causing body doubles to be used in his place for his new movie "Back in Action." It has also forced the network to find a new host for "Beat Shazam."

Jamie Foxx has been hosting the Fox music guessing game show since its first season. His daughter, Corinne Fox, was later brought on to replace October Gonzalez, to act as the show’s DJ. According to the show’s synopsis:

“Hosted by Jamie Foxx, 'Beat Shazam' is an interactive game show that pits teams of two against the clock and each other as they attempt to identify the biggest hit songs of all time. In the end, the team with the most money banked will go against Shazam, the popular song identification app, for the chance to win up to $1 million.”

The show premiered on Fox on May 25, 2017, and has been released for five seasons so far. The show was renewed for a sixth season, which will premiere at the end of May, along with other classic Fox staples like “Crime Scene Kitchen,” “Don’t Forget The Lyrics,” “MasterChef,” and a new Ramsay show: “Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars.”

The news that both Jamie and Corinne would be replaced as hosts was announced by TMZ on Wednesday morning. Production on the music lyric game show was reportedly starting only days after he was hospitalized. Filming reportedly started on Wednesday.

Corinne will not be taking over DJ and hosting duties so that she can stay by her father's side in the hospital. The family has not disclosed what "medical complication" Jamie has suffered, although he is reportedly "awake and alert" following the health scare.

So Who Will Be The New Hosts Of 'Beat Shazam'?

Later on Wednesday, TV personality Kelly Osbourne shared a video on her Instagram Stories that featured her in the show’s DJ booth.

In the background, an emcee can be heard in hyping up the studio audience to welcome "The Masked Singer" host Nick Cannon. At this time, it is believed that Nick Cannon will host all episodes for this upcoming season to give Jamie Foxx time to recover.

"Beat Shazam" has not been renewed for a seventh season at this time.

Jamie Foxx Is Reportedly 'Awake And Alert' Following 'Medical Complication'

On April 21, a source told PEOPLE that the Oscar-winning actor is “awake and alert” following his health scare but will continue to stay in the hospital and be kept under observation to allow doctors time to investigate what went wrong.

"He's OK, thank God," an insider told the magazine. "He's still in the hospital and doctors are running tests but he's awake and alert. They're keeping him under observation."

The incident occurred while Jamie was in Georgia filming his new movie, “Back in Action,” with Cameron Diaz, who came out of retirement to work with her “Annie” costar in the 2014 musical film.

It is not known what happened to the actor, but the “medical complication” reportedly did not happen on set while he was filming. Production on the Netflix movie has resumed, although stunt doubles and photo doubles have been taking over the role of his character to finish the movie.

Both Tracy Morgan and Steve Harvey sent thoughts and prayers to Jamie Foxx at Martin Lawrence’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony last month. "I love Jamie. Jamie's a good friend of mine ... my prayers go up for Jamie," Morgan told Entertainment Tonight. "He's strong, he's a fighter, he's gonna come out of it and he's good. He's gonna be stronger and better than ever."

"I just want Jamie to please get strong," he added. "Jamie, I love you. My prayers go out to you and your family. Please get well." Fellow game show host Steve Harvey told the outlet, "I don't even really know what happened, man. I was just stunned because Jamie's fit."

"This dude, he don't do nothing, man. This dude is fit, so I was really concerned, man," Harvey added. "So I hope everything works out. I'm pretty sure it will."

Martin Lawrence also spoke to ET, saying that Foxx is "in my prayers every night" and encouraged others to "please pray for him." He also said that Jamie is "not only one of our best entertainers we have out here, but he's a great person and he's a genuine person."
