Serena Williams Declares Intent To Be 'Stylish' During Second Pregnancy

Serena Williams has planned to make a fashion statement!

Barely 72 hours after she announced her second pregnancy to the world, the retired tennis legend has expressed her desire to stay in the fashion game. She shared the plan in a new social media post that garnered the attention and love of her millions of followers. She and her husband, Alexis Ohanian Sr., welcomed their first daughter, Alexis Olympia, in September 2017.

Williams had more than shocked the world when she debuted her second pregnancy at the recently-held M.E.T gala where the who's who rub shoulders. At the same time, she shared multiple photos of herself, her husband Alexis Ohanian, Snr., and her baby bump on Instagram.

The Blast reported that the multi-decorated athlete wore black apparel with white trimmings and a matching tulle train. The slides showed the mother-of-one beaming as her beau — donned in a sharp, black tuxedo — looked at her with love and pleasure. 

Less than three days after the "Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala" captioned post went viral, Williams has shared a new update with her 16.5 million followers.

Paying homage to the pearls headpiece and layered necklaces she rocked to the ceremony; the mother-of-one wore what appeared to be a short skirt and a matching black bra over it. She finished the look with a neutral-toned jacket with black designs, dark shades, white sneakers, small flower-designed earrings, and her engagement ring.

Even though most of her glam was hidden by her oversized dark shades, nude lipstick can be seen on the 23-time Grand Slam singles title holder's lips. The Career Golden Slam record holder struck a model pose with one leg on tiptoe in the first slide before placing her hand on the glasses' frames in the next.

Her husband appeared in the third image, pointing at her to indicate that she was the star of the moment. He was also stunning in his black tuxedo, which he paired with a white long-sleeved shirt and a black bow tie.

The 40-year-old investor's attire hinted that the pair had snapped the pictures before heading to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City for the ceremony. Regardless of when they captured the snaps, fans were more than happy that Williams told them she planned "on staying stylish this time around."

The expectant mother reminded fans of her hot bod when she shared two pictures of herself in a short red number; The Blast reported nearly two months ago. She opted to stand barefoot on the grass in front of a white fence, pairing the dress with a black wristwatch, a bracelet, and soft glam.

In the first image, the Aston Martin Chief Sporting Officer closed her eyes and swayed her hip to one side, bringing attention to her curvy body. For the second pose, she smiled and turned sideways, showcasing her derrière, which was more prominent in the red dress from her fashion line, S by Serena.

The SurveyMonkey board of directors member told her followers in the caption, "Red goes with everything." A look at her comments proved that she made the right choice, as her fans agreed that the color suited her perfectly.
