Actor Harrison Ford is making his fifth and last appearance as Indiana Jones in “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” which hits theaters on June 30, 2023. Although he is best known to Star Wars fans as Han Solo, Ford played the whip-slinging archaeologist in 1981’s “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” 1984’s “Temple of Doom,” 1989’s “Last Crusade,” and 2008’s “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”

The 80-year-old actor revealed in February that there were “a lot of old jokes in the script” but he insisted on taking them out in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“There is a moment where he observes himself in this situation and says, ‘What the f— am I doing in here?’ But I hate what I call ‘talking about the story.’ I want to see circumstances in which the audience gets a chance to experience the story, not to be led through the nose with highlights pointed out to them,” Ford said. “I’d rather create behavior that is the joke of age rather than talk about it.”

Actor Mark Hamill, who is best known as Jedi Luke Skywalker, has teamed up with “Doctor Sleep” director Mike Flanagan to create “The Fall of the House of Usher,” an upcoming horror drama miniseries. The series is not only based on “The Fall of the House of Usher” by Edgar Allan Poe, but several of Poe’s works.

Filming for the series started in Vancouver, Canada on January 31, 2022, and wrapped on July 9. Things hit a bit of a snag during filming when Frank Langella, who was tapped to play the Usher patriarch, was fired after an investigation alleging that he behaved inappropriately on set. Bruce Greenwood was later brought in to replace Langella.

After “Star Wars,” actor Adam Driver became one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood, no doubt thanks to his portrayal of Kylo Ren and the redeemed Ben Solo. In 2021, he starred in the musical “Annette,” the medieval “The Last Duel,” and the dramatic “House of Gucci.”

After starring as Jack in another adaption of “White Noise” and killing dinosaurs in “65,” Driver has two big projects currently in the works. He will be playing the titular Enzo Ferrari in “Ferrari,” which tells the story of the Italian sports car entrepreneur.

He has also been tapped to star in Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis,” which is the veteran director’s dream project. The synopsis simply reads “An architect wants to rebuild New York City as a utopia following a devastating disaster.”

Fans can agree that John Boyega did not get a great run as Finn in the sequel trilogy. Putting that aside, Boyega went on to win a Golden Globe Award as a Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries, or Motion Picture in 2021 for his role in 2020’s “Small Axe.”

He also appeared as King Ghezo in 2022’s “The Woman King.” Fans are most excited to see him return as Moses in the sequel to 2011’s “Attack the Block.” Although the sequel is still in pre-production, he also starred opposite Jamie Foxx in “They Cloned Tyrone,” which will be released on July 21, 2023.

Actress Daisy Ridley confirmed that she would return as the Force-sensitive Jedi Rey for another "Star Wars" movie at the Star Wars Celebration event in London last month. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy revealed that the film would take place fifteen years after the events of "The Rise of Skywalker."

In an April 2023 interview with Entertainment Weekly shortly after the event, Kennedy confirmed that the story will focus on Rey's attempt to rebuild the Jedi Order, much like Luke had tried to do before the events of the sequel trilogy.

“As we move into the future space — this story is about 15 years outside of The Rise of Skywalker — obviously we realized post-war, post–First Order rise of the New Jedi Order, we left episode 9 with Rey making a commitment to Luke Skywalker that she would rebuild the Jedi Order,” Kennedy said.

“And so here we are — we’re ready to do that. And it took a lot of discussion because obviously we’ve been developing stories in different spaces, and television has been a big focus of our attention right now,” she continued. “But there’s still so much interest in what happens after The Rise of Skywalker. So we’re excited to be doing that.”

Kennedy teased that “It’s entirely possible to see some people come back” besides Daisy Ridley, but so far, she is the only actor confirmed to return to the film, especially after John Boyega seemed to cast doubt on the possibility of ever returning to the franchise last August.

Perhaps Mark Hamill would be willing to come back as a Force Ghost?
