Chris Brown’s friend claims any sex that went on with a woman accusing him of rape was consensual and wants out of a lawsuit claiming he committed sexual battery.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Lowell Grissom finally responded to the allegations filed by Jane Doe over the 2018 lawsuit she brought against him and Brown.
In the documents, Grissom denies all allegations of wrongdoing on the night in question and states the plaintiff "consented" to anything that was alleged.
Grissom is demanding the entire lawsuit be dismissed and wants the unidentified woman to pay his legal bills.
As we reported, the woman claims she ended up at Brown's Tarzana home back in February 2017 after a night of clubbing. She claims the "Loyal" singer plied her with drugs like cocaine, Molly and marijuana before Grissom committed sexual assault.
The woman also claimed Brown was walking around brandishing firearms, including one that he allegedly carried in his waistband. After the woman's mother became worried and used software to track her daughter's phone, she alerted police, who were refused entry into the home.
The incident is still under investigation, and Brown or Grissom have not been charged with anything. Brown has already denied the allegations in his own response to the lawsuit, and points out that none of the allegations claimed he physically touched anyone or committed any crime.
As we reported, Brown is also under investigation in Paris after a woman claims she was raped. He was released from custody with no charges, but the woman's attorney says the criminal investigation is pressing on.
