During a recent interview with Interview Magazine, Lourdes Leon spoke about her relationship with her famous mother, Madonna. She called her mother a "control freak" and said she often felt overwhelmed by Madonna's need to always be in control.

She said, per Marca, "My mom is such a control freak, and she has controlled me my whole life. I needed to be completely independent of her as soon as I graduated high school." The upcoming singer has been independent since her teens and even paid her college fees alone. Leon later rented her place in Brooklyn after finishing school.

Despite her fiercely independent spirit, Leon said she now appreciates Madonna's hard work and dedication over the years. The "Contradiction" singer stated, "She's probably the hardest worker I've ever seen."

During a 2017 interview with People Magazine, Madonna talked about her parenting style, especially with her kids growing older. She said, "I had this funny notion that when your children get older, they learn to care for themselves, and it gets easier. But, the older they get, the more challenging it gets because they're becoming adults and need guidance."

The "Material Girl" singer was clear that her parenting philosophy has always been that she's in charge and the boss of the family. She called herself the "bad cop" and said she is happy to "accept that role" and not be the "popular parent."

Her outfit at the H&M and Mugler launch party is one of the singer's many recent high-fashion moments. In February, Leon walked for Luis De Javier at his New York Fashion Week show, wearing a red corseted dress designed with devil horns.

That same month, the singer attended Marc Jacobs' fashion show but was denied entry because she arrived a few minutes late. At the 2023 Grammy Awards, Leon wore a shiny scarlet gown with a pointy bust inspired by Madonna's iconic cone bra look.

Madonna first wore the now infamous Jean-Paul Gaultier-designed corset with the cone bra features during her Blonde Ambition World Tour in 1990. She's reportedly reviving the outfit for her upcoming "The Celebration Tour."
