Cameron Diaz and the cast and crew of the action-comedy are "back in action," with body doubles filling in for Jamie Foxx on set amid his hospitalization. The body doubles had on matching outfits completed with Foxx's signature goatee.

The leading lady, Diaz, was spotted looking cheerful and energized as she reviewed scripts with actress McKenna Roberts. 

On Instagram, Foxx's daughter, Corinne, shared that her father was on the way to recovery. Reports have also confirmed that tests are being run on the Oscar winner to determine the cause of his ailment.

On April 11, Jamie Foxx, 55, the leading man for Netflix's upcoming action-comedy, "Back in Action," was hospitalized after suffering a medical complication causing a temporary setback in filming. However, filming resumed a week later as Cameron Diaz, 50, was spotted on set with two different body doubles standing in for Foxx.

At the moment, It is unclear when Foxx will be able to resume filming, but Diaz seemed to hold down the fort as she shot scenes for their upcoming action-comedy, slated for an early 2024 release with one of Foxx's stand-ins looking cheerful and energized.

Per Daily Mail, Monday was the "Charlie's Angels" alum's first day back on set since Foxx was taken to the hospital for his medical emergency. Meanwhile, his daughter, Corinne Foxx, in a statement via Instagram, confirmed that her father is receiving excellent medical attention and "is already on his way to recovery."

While on set, Diaz wore a casual, loose-fitting black sweatshirt that concealed her fit frame, per Daily Mail. Her matching black pants and pale pink-framed glasses added color to her outfit.

Diaz appeared on set make-up free before dressing up for her scene with her long blonde hair styled in a messy, shoulder-length cut. The "Charlie's Angels" actress was spotted chatting with her young co-star, McKenna Roberts, as they reviewed their scripts.

Despite Foxx's absence, production continued with two body doubles standing for him. The two men wore matching costumes with a gray jacket, burgundy shirt, dark jeans, and white trainers. They even sported goatees and short haircuts similar to Foxx's signature style to complete the resemblance.

One of Foxx's body doubles was seen rehearsing an intense fight scene in a large parking lot, executing his moves with precision and skill.

Meanwhile, Diaz filmed a nighttime scene outside a club called The Level with her other body double. A group of extras dressed in bright clothing were also spotted gathered in front of the set.

For the scene, Diaz changed into a white sweatshirt and jeans, her blonde hair in a casual ponytail. However, she appeared worried and frustrated as she followed the body double through a pair of parked cars.

Sources confirmed to TMZ last week that Foxx was hospitalized due to a severe medical condition. However, few details have been released about the situation, leaving many wondering what exactly happened to the Oscar-winning actor.

CNN reported on Friday that Foxx was still under observation at the hospital, with tests being conducted to determine the cause of his health scare. An insider revealed, "They are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened."

Foxx's family members reportedly traveled from out of town to be with him; however, there is no update yet on when he will be released from the hospital or return to filming his role in "Back in Action."

Despite the lack of details, a source told TMZ, "He's communicating now, and that's good news," indicating that Foxx may have experienced some difficulties communicating at some point during his medical emergency.

"Back in Action" has been touted as Diaz's return to acting after a hiatus, with Foxx being instrumental in convincing her to come out of retirement. However, reports suggest that Diaz plans to retire permanently from acting after a string of challenging experiences on set.
