Simone Biles Flaunts Marriage License With Fiancé Jonathan Owens: 'Almost Time'

Simone Biles showed off her marriage license with her fiancé Jonathan Owens ahead of their upcoming nuptials. 

After dating for two years, the duo announced their engagement on Instagram in February 2022. Biles and Owens plan to conduct their wedding in Texas and can't wait to get it over with.

The world-class gymnast and football star who met just before the pandemic have solidified plans to get married. Biles recently celebrated their success in getting a license for their upcoming wedding. This comes after two years of being together.

The athletic couple bonded over their love for animals and a similar sense of humor, as Owens revealed in an interview with Texas Monthly. 

The 26-year-old renowned Olympian shared a photo of herself and Owens all smiles in the car with their new document. In the caption, she wrote, "Almost time to say 'I do,'" with a white heart emoji, while Owens responded in the comments, "Soon." The document showed that the couple would have their wedding in Texas, where they both reside.

The couple has yet to share their upcoming wedding date, but Biles is eager to marry. After getting the license, the gymnast posted a video of herself and her man. The clip showed them having cocktails as music with the lyrics "Girl, let's just get married. I just wanna get married" played in the background.

Over the video, she wrote, per People, "post-marriage license things." The four-time Olympic gold-winning gymnast shared snapshots from her bridal shower in anticipation. The blue-themed event was held with her friends and family at Houston Height's The Juliana. They all rocked blue outfits in the photos as she captioned them, "On Cloud 9 BRIDAL SHOWER☁️??️ feeling so loved & blessed."

Biles organized a Bachelorette party earlier in the year, which she highlighted on her Instagram page. For the part, the star rocked a pair of jeans with her husband-to-be's surname, "Mrs. Owens," written on the back pocket. In the caption, she tagged the location and thanked them "for hosting the most epic bachelorette."

Biles revealed her engagement to the NFL player shortly after he popped the question in February last year. She has photos of the memorable moment pinned to her Instagram profile. Owens asked her hand in marriage with a sparkly oval Diamond ring.

He knelt to put the ZoFrost jewelry on Biles' hand after she said "THE EASIEST YES" to the sweet proposal. Underneath a series of photos from the precious moment, she wrote, "I can't wait to spend forever & ever with you, you're everything I dreamed of and more! Let's get married FIANCÉ," tagging Owens.

The footballer responded, "Ready for forever with you." Biles updated her Instagram bio to include Owens as her husband-to-be, among other things she was proud of, like her Olympic accomplishments and love for dogs.

In his interview with Texas Monthly, Owens noted how seamless their relationship was because of how much they complement each other. He said they are "a match made in heaven" and "perfect" for each other.

The 27-year-old said, "There's no better person for me. She loves me; she's so affectionate. I love that. And it's just intoxicating seeing how much work she puts into everything." Biles confirmed his feelings in a 2021 interview with Today, where she revealed they were a great match.

"We have a great time together. Our personalities match right up. We have the same sense of humor. And he's just great." The female athlete also revealed their relationship was "seamless" because of their similar career paths. "He's an athlete, too, so we understand each other."
