The 49-year-old took to her page to post a clip from her and her beau's 2011 movie, "The Place Beyond the Pines," their sole on-screen collaboration. She made mention of the obvious chemistry they shared in the film writing:

"Magic is Real. We did not meet on set. The magic started way before, but here's a little magic captured on camera. Gracias to the increΓble director Derek Cianfrance πŸ–€."

In the comments, a fan expressed optimism, stating, "Eva, I want to be honest w u, but I hope Barbie will get through the Awards Season just to see you w Ryan. I know I'm selfish and probably a dreamer, but I will never stop to dream about it!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.”

However, the mother-of-two explained why they should not anticipate such an occurrence, stating, "You're the best! What a cool comment; thank you. But we don't do those things together." She added, "Like these photos I've been posting, I'm only comfortable posting because it's already out there. β™₯️.”

The "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans" star was then asked by another follower why she was not comfortable, to which she replied, "By "not comfortable," I mean exposing the very private life that we value. I'm dying to do another movie with him, though…β™₯️."

Although the lovebirds have always maintained a high level of privacy regarding their relationship, The Blast observed that the "Training Day" actress sparked some buzz last November when she referred to the actor as her husband.

Mendes, who had just revealed her plans to return to the film industry, slipped up during an interview on the "Today" show on Australia's Channel Nine while discussing her philanthropic efforts.

When asked how she handled the 42-year-old and their two daughters, she stated, "Everyone is so welcoming here, and my husband Ryan is here, and we are having the best time." After referring to him in that manner, the "Hitch" star did not attempt to correct herself, which might be a confirmation of their marital status.

Eva Mendes Clarifies Misconception About Quitting Acting

In response, she clarified the situation, stating that she had never left the business. The "2 Fast 2 Furious" star, who shares two daughters, Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee, with her husband Ryan Gosling, explained in her caption:

"I never quit acting. I wanted to be home with my babies, and fortunately, my other business ventures allowed me to do that more than acting would."

In addition, Mendes also stated that she was not enthusiastic about the limited and stereotypical roles offered to her at the time. She mentioned that working on the film "Lost River" was her dream project and finding something to match it was difficult.

She concluded by writing, "What's the point of this post? To shift that narrative. I never quit. β™₯️.” Her fans quickly showed their support, with one follower applauding her for taking control of the narrative, writing, "The narrative is yours, chica! πŸ‘πŸ»"

This person encouraged her by stating, "Yes! By the time your babies are grown and you return, there will be a new generation of women writers writing better roles πŸ–€." A third user enthusiastically gushed, "I know that's right! There's nothing more beautiful than spending time with family."

A fourth noted, "She just dropped that mic 🎀 on you #hollywood get your πŸ’© together."
