Actor Wes Chatham is the latest famous face joining a galaxy far, far away.

Earlier this week, the annual Star Wars Celebration event wrapped up in London. The event, which took place from April 7 through April 10 this year, teased many new cast members for the "Star Wars" series "Ahsoka."

Unfortunately, fans didn't get to see Wes Chatham, who starred in Amazon’s long-running sci-fi series "The Expanse," take the stage, as news of his casting didn't break until Wednesday, April 12.

A First Look At 'Ahsoka' Dropped During Star Wars Celebration 2023

Although footage for other Star Wars series, including "The Acolyte," "Skeleton Crew," and season 2 of "Andor" were only shown to live audiences at Star Wars Celebration, the first look at "Ahsoka" was also shared on social media on Friday, April 7.

On Saturday morning, star Rosario Dawson told the live audience gathered for the "Ahsoka" panel that she credits Ahsoka’s voice actress, Ashley Eckstein, for bringing the character from where fans first met her in “The Clone Wars” all the way up to “Rebels.”

“One of the beautiful things about watching [Ahsoka’s] journey is that even when she was so young, she was fearless,” Dawson said. She also could not praise her work in a galaxy far, far away enough, saying, “We are living and breathing Star Wars on a regular basis and we just really truly love it… It’s not just a job. It’s joy.”

Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, and Chopper Took The Stage At Star Wars Celebration

She was joined on stage by both Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, as well as the loveable droid Chopper. Winstead, who is married to "Obi-Wan Kenobi" actor Ewan McGregor, talked about bringing Hera Syndulla into live-action, saying, “There’s such a rich history we’ve been able to see on Rebels… I felt honored to be playing someone like that and try to rise to her level.”

Actress Diana Lee Inosanto also shared more about her new character, Morgan Elsbeth, saying that “She absolutely is very loyal to Grand Admiral Thrawn.” They revealed that the battle between Ahsoka and Morgan Elsbeth actually took more than 17 hours to film. The battle must be important to the series as a whole, as they even noted that "Star Wars" creator George Lucas was on set for the scene.
