Britney Spears Reportedly Had A ‘Career Intervention’ With Cade Hudson In Mexico

Singer Britney Spears has been on vacation with her agent Cade Hudson in Mexico, but apparently, she wasn't just there to soak up the sun on the beach.

In fact, sources have revealed that her longtime manager actually wants the 41-year-old pop star to get back into the game after releasing her first song in six years last August.

That song, "Hold Me Closer," featuring Sir Elton John, was widely embraced by fans, but Britney has given fans no indication that she has plans to release any more music.

Although the “Toxic” singer seemed to have a blast sharing photos and videos of her trip to Mexico, it sounds like the trip was a mix of business and pleasure. Sources told the Daily Mail that Cade planned the trip for Britney while her husband, Iranian actor Sam Asghari, was away working on a movie.

According to one source, Cade wants to see Britney “get back to what she loves to do” and thinks that channeling her creative energy into new music will help her “get back to herself.”

“Cade wants to see Britney get back to doing what she loves to do, as she is a talented artist,” the source said. “He knows that she is still passionate about this.”

“'He wanted to have a career intervention and, at the same time, really help her to get back to herself,” the source continued. “He told her she cannot throw in the towel yet and he has reminded her of who she really is.”

“'Their time together has been super special and relaxing and has been eye-opening for her, to say the least,” the insider added, calling Cade “one of the only people in the world that Britney trusts.”

“Working with Britney during her rise to fame has been one of Cade's proudest accomplishments in life. In the process, she became like family to him,” the source revealed. Britney’s last album was “Glory” in 2016, which was released while she was still under her stifling conservatorship.

That conservatorship finally came to an end in November 2021. In the final months before a judge struck down the controversial measure against Britney, Cade finally threw his support behind the #FreeBritney movement.

“I’ve kept my mouth shut for 12 + years on Britney. Enough is enough,” he posted at the time (via TMZ). “After getting thousands of death threats, getting water bottles thrown at my head in bars from bystanders telling me I’m brainwashing her – Britney I’m now speaking up.”

Cade called it “Sexism at its best,” adding, “This is a violation of someone’s basic human rights that were taken away. I’ve kept my mouth shut out of the fear of losing my job as her agent and losing the career I worked my a** off for 15 years to build, out of threats from the man we all know who, but I won’t even dignify mentioning his name. I’m officially done being quiet.”

At the time, Cade claimed that he knew the “real” Britney Spears and said that they used to spend Christmas together.

“The system and the public failed her,” he wrote. “Her new attorney is the best of the best and knows that the work has just begun but it’s progress & hope and that’s all we can ask for now until action can be taken.”

The report was released on Wednesday, the same day that Britney took to Instagram to share a video that both surprised and confused her millions of followers.

In her latest Instagram post, set to Matt Harke’s “London’s Song,” Britney shared a video posing in front of a wall of pink graffiti. She is wearing a green asymmetrical dress that looks like it is stained with sweat and brown open-toe sandals. Britney hides her face behind aviator sunglasses as she poses in front of the wall of graffiti.

In the caption, Britney wrote, “I was hot in my car ?☀️? ... saw some pink graffiti and played ?????? !!!” It is unclear if she is still on vacation with her agent Cade Hudson or if she has since returned to the streets of Los Angeles.

Britney did not allow comments on the video, but the singer has disabled comments on most of her Instagram posts since the start of the year.
