Nicolas Cage quickly realized that his marriage to Erika Koike was not a great idea, and we’re told his new bride agrees and does not plan on fighting the annulment.
Sources close to the situation tell The Blast that Cage believes the entire ordeal is a “mistake.”
As The Blast first reported, the star filed to end the marriage with his new wife less than a week after their “wedding.”
As for what happened in the four days since Cage and Koike tied the knot, we’re told the “National Treasure” star is not going to publicly address the issue and has already asked that the court seal his filing.
It was widely reported that Cage and his makeup artist bride were spotted in an argument over money at the Clark County courthouse while applying for their marriage license, and video appeared to show the star in a drunken state while staggering through court.
We’re told the estranged couple has already discussed the annulment, and it appears both are on board and won’t interfere with the court wiping the wedding from the books.
What happens in Vegas … can sometimes be annulled.
