Law Roach & Zendaya Hit First Red Carpet Together After Retirement, Brands Actress His 'Stylist'

Stylist Law Roach wasn’t joking when he said his relationship with actress Zendaya was far from over! 

After the celebrity stylist startled everyone with the news of his retirement, there were ongoing rumors that his relationship with the “Euphoria” star had hit a rough patch. However, the image architect cleared the air. 

Nearly three weeks after Roach’s shocking retirement, he and Zendaya stormed the red carpet, teasing a change in their work dynamic. 

The style icon and the 26-year-old actress made a statement as usual on the red carpet while attending the opening of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai. The duo looked stunning as ever in their coordinating Indian couture outfits. 

From the lovely images on Roach’s Instagram, the pair posed on the red carpet in each other’s arms. The “Spider-Man: Far From Home” actress donned a flowing custom sari-inspired dress with glittery details and floral embroidery. Underneath, she wore a gold bralette, leaving her midriff exposed.

Her black hair was styled in a loose bun, and her soft glam spotted a glossy pink lip. Beside her, Roach wore a black two-piece floor-length gown featuring colorful floral embroidery. In his signature hairstyle, his long black tresses fell to his back. 

Captioning the post, the iconic stylist wrote, “It was such an honor to be invited by the Ambani Family to celebrate the opening of @nmacc.india I took my main girl to Mumbai!” Before giving credit to the designers and also the photographer. 

The image architect continued sharing more memories from that night. He uploaded a clip where he posed alongside the “Greatest Showman” star for the camera. As the duo flashed smiles for several shots, the actress stopped briefly to adjust Roach’s serpent-shaped necklace. When she was done, they continued posing for cameras. 

In the post’s caption, Roach teased change in their work dynamics, with Zendaya acting as his stylist. He wrote, “The sweetest moments …. My stylist fixing @bulgari necklace!!!”

The beauty of that moment wasn’t lost on fans as they gushed about the bond between the duo in the comments. One fan wrote, “beautiful friendship,” while another remarked, “this bond is unbreakable.” A third follower added, “omg the way she loves you is so amazing ? ✨love to see the mutual support.”

Undoubtedly, both the actress and the style icon have a relationship that goes beyond being a client and a stylist. Earlier, the “Legendary” judge shared that Zendaya supported him when he announced his retirement from styling. As we covered, Roach disclosed how Zendaya had reacted to his decision to quit his career during an appearance on Emily Ratajkowski’s podcast. 

When Ratajkowski asked how Zendaya had welcomed the news, the 44-year-old admitted that “It was tough for her.” He further disclosed that Zendaya did not know his decision before he broke it to the public. Nonetheless, she was supportive. 

Roach detailed how the Emmy Award recipient offered to send him on vacation to make him feel better. He said, “She, of course, supported me. She’s like, ‘Do you need me to send you on vacation? Tell me what you’re going through.’ And I, you know, talk to her about just being unhappy for a long time and still grieving the death of my nephew… And she was like, ‘Whatever you need, whatever you need.'”

Roach and Zendaya’s recent red-carpet appearance is proof that the celebrated stylist is still going to be very much involved in fashion. Although Roach had posted that he was retiring, he quickly explained what he meant by “retirement” and why it was needed. 

Per The Blast, the 44-year-old style genius shed more light on his decision, saying, “I’m not saying I’m retiring from fashion. I love fashion. I love the businesses, and I love being creative. What I’m retiring from is the celebrity styling part of it: the being in service and at service of other people. That’s what I’m retiring from, yeah.”

He further highlighted his reason for the decision, and according to him, it was a form of “self-care. This is because the nature of his job caused him to put his client's needs before his well-being. And as such, he decided to relieve himself of the responsibilities.
