Selena Gomez's Instagram Followers Couldn't Resist Bringing Up Hailey Bieber During THIS Pivotal Moment!

Not so fast- the "Rare" singer's Instagram carousel, posted on Tuesday, featuring Gomez chilling in a wedding dress, is just for show! Evidently, Gomez's "Only Murders In The Building" character, Mabel, will be heading to the altar in season three!

The cozy mystery Hulu original series has generated a lot of buzz since its Summer 2021 premiere; "Only Murders In The Building" was nominated for 17 Emmys at last year's Emmy Awards and took home three statues!

The frenzy for the show was featured in the cast's behind-the-scenes snaps!

In addition to Gomez's laid-back bridal photo set, her legendary co-star Steve Martin posted some sweet snapshots of himself and Gomez posing together in their wedding glory, plus a shot of Gomez and Martin Short commemorating Mabel Mora's big day!

Not all of the social media chatter revolved around Gomez's bridal glory; many of her Instagram followers couldn't resist mentioning a certain fellow beauty guru and lifestyle influencer.

When Gomez isn't generating headlines for her award-winning TV series, her name is often found alongside one Mrs. Hailey Baldwin-Bieber.

The 26-year-old model and Rhode Skin founder was first linked to Gomez in the media after she began dating Gomez's on-and-off boyfriend in 2018. Bieber and Baldwin had been linked when they were spotted hanging out together during a period when Bieber and Gomez were dun-zo.

Gomez and Bieber called it quits for good in 2018, and the "Yummy" singer married Baldwin only months after his final breakup with Gomez.

Both women have spent years attempting to squash rumors of a feud, but the speculation has only been raised over the last few months.

Despite Mrs. Bieber's repeated denial that she harbors ill will toward the Rare Beauty founder, social media seemed to believe otherwise.

Last month, the rumor mill began buzzing when Jenner posted an Instagram story shading her eyebrow look. The timing of Jenner's Insta-story was rather questionable; Gomez had posted a TikTok wherein she had overly laminated eyebrows not too long before Jenner's pics.

Bieber entered the chat through a second Insta-story slide posted by her bestie; Jenner tagged Bieber in a screenshot of the duo's FaceTime call featuring a close-up shot of Bieber's eyebrows!

Gomez and Jenner quickly attempted to put out the speculative fire. Both women denied any instance of bad blood between them, but the internet wasn't convinced.

Shortly after 'eyebrow gate,' an old and allegedly out-of-context clip of Bieber expressing her distaste for Gomez's best friend, Taylor Swift, began circulating on TikTok. Gomez would then defend the "Bejeweled" singer in the comments; after receiving a firestorm of attention, Gomez took a short break from social media.

Internet sleuths would soon begin digging up Bieber's old tweets praising Gomez and Bieber's relationship and discussing striking comparisons and similarities between them. Among them, are similar tattoos and respective cooking-related media.

The many incidents have inspired the duo's respective fanbases to continuously reference the other in the comments of countless Instagram photos.

Bieber's Instagram content would be overshadowed by references to Gomez well into March, including her birthday tribute to her husband. Her followers would also chastize Bieber for "posting with [her] comments open" (via The Blast) in ensuing non-Justin-related posts.

Gomez posted two photos of herself hanging out between takes while wearing the dress. While many of her followers were swept up in the glitz, glamour, and sweetness of seeing Gomez wearing a wedding dress, a few references to Bieber were snuck in.

"Waiting for Haily [sic] to post the same," a follower commented.

"I bet this photo has triple the amount of like them [sic] Haley's actual wedding photos [laughing emoji]," another commented.

"Hailey is coming with her wedding post," a follower chimed in.

"Now it's Hailey's turn to wear a white dress and boots and post it to Instagram [laughing emojis]," another follower said.

"Waiting for haley [sic] to copy this," another follower commented along with several laughing emojis.

One follower expressed their belief Gomez had copied Bieber by wearing a wedding dress.

"Selena desperately copied Hailey with this. Cause Hailey married in 2018!!!!! why the people so dumb???"

"justin is punching the air rn," another follower speculated.

"Hailey wishes she had a bit of Selena Gomez talent, but no, she's just the wife of... acquaintance of...," another follower wrote.

As of this writing, the Biebers have not publicly addressed the feud allegations; However, Mr. Bieber was believed to have cryptically addressed the speculation earlier this month. (via The Blast)
