Selena Gomez Is Still On The Search For Her ‘Crush’
Selena, 30, posted a video of herself lipsyncing to a sound on TikTok that iterates she’s still on the lookout for love, albeit not without a complication.
She captioned the video, “Still out here lookin for him lol,” and was heard lipsyncing, “I hate it when girls are like, ‘Oh my God, my crush doesn’t even know that I exist.’ Like, girl, my crush doesn’t even exist!”
The “Another Cinderella Story” actress rocked a pink button-up shirt in the video and wore light make-up with her brunette locks in curl for the video.
Selena was previously in a relationship with singer Justin Bieber whom she dated for eight years.
She was recently linked to The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart after they were seen together at a bowling alley in January but has since dispelled the speculations.
Fans Take A Jibe At Hailey Bieber On Selena Gomez’s Video
After Selena shared the video on TikTok, the “Only Murders In The Building” star’s fans couldn’t help but throw shade at Hailey Bieber, with whom she’s been embroiled in a social media feud.
A fan wrote, “sitting here patiently waiting for Hailey to post with a pink top.” Another user said, “Hailey is about to make a TikTok about how she got to marry her crush.”
“Hailey be like, ‘Do I have a pink shirt?” one user wrote, with several laughing emojis.
The singer was drawn into a debacle with Hailey and her friend, Kylie Jenner after she shared a video where she stated that she’d over-laminated her eyebrows. Shortly after her video went up, Hailey and Kylie also made a similar post about their eyebrows which came off as the pair mocking Selena.
Kylie and Selena went ahead to shut down such speculations, with the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star commenting on a TikTok video.
“This is reaching. No shade towards Selena ever, and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! You guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly,” she stated, to which Selena replied in the comments section, “Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!”
Selena Gomez Comes Clean On Her Struggles
The singer recently acknowledged that she “lied” about not caring when people body shamed her, as she opened up about her lupus diagnosis, per Insider.
Selena was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2014, which she said caused her weight to fluctuate. Particularly after paparazzi images of her appeared online in 2018, she was subject to public scrutiny and body-shaming remarks, with people referring to her as “overweight.”
In a March 10th episode of the Apple TV+ docu-series “Dear…,” the “Same Old Love” singer disclosed that she had lied when she posted pictures of herself online and claimed that she didn’t care about the negative comments.
“I lied. I would go online, and I would post a picture of myself, and say the negative comments don’t matter, I’m not accepting what you’re saying — all the while being in the room posting that, crying my eyes out because nobody deserves to hear those things,” she noted.
Selena Gomez Shows Gratitude To Her Best Friend Publicly
A third year after she was diagnosed with the autoimmune condition, the singer had to undergo a kidney transplant with her best friend, Francia Raisa, serving as her donor.
“I will never, ever, ever be more in debt to a person than Francia,” Gomez paid tribute to her friend.
She added, “The idea of someone not even second-guessing to be a donor was unbelievably overwhelming. I got a tattoo with her, actually, which is the date I got the kidney transplant. I think it had to happen the way that it did. In order for me to get to where I am, I was meant to go through it to do something for others.”
