The brilliant pianist continued, "You find yourself running and doing the things for school, for the kids, and doing all the things for your lists, for all the dreams you have in your career, and what you have to do next."

She believed the time someone has with their partner was "so priceless," and to carve out the time and make it as important as "those daily things" reflected positively on the relationship.

"You remember why you are in love," she elucidated. "You remember why you just like each other, what's interesting about each other.

Keys and Beatz initially met when they were 14 and 16, respectively, after being introduced by a mutual high school friend. At the time, the "Fallin" songstress was not interested in the rapper romantically and it stayed that way in the following years.

According to her autobiographical book "More Myself," the duo ended up in the same circles and at several awards shows and events. However, Keys still did not want anything to do with the record producer.

She wrote, "He'd usually pull up in some fancy car, rolling deep with his Bronx crew and shining diamonds. I wanted nothing to do with that scene or with Swizz."

However, things began changing when the New York City natives partnered on a music project years later, causing the "Diary" singer to realize there was more depth to Beatz.

"The more we talked, the more I noticed how his mind worked," she confessed. "Beyond the baggy jeans and arm tats, there was depth. He was so aware of what was happening around the world."

The couple eventually formed a cordial relationship before getting romantically involved, which led up to Beatz proposing in 2010 and their marriage that same year in Corsica.

Meanwhile, this year will mark their 13th wedding anniversary, which fans expect will be celebrated in style similar to last year's milestone. As The Blast reported during the lovebirds' 12th wedding anniversary, Keys went back in time with a series of beautiful black and white pictures on Instagram from their wedding ceremony.
