Last weekend,Kodak Black was booked at various nightclubs in Tampa for Super Bowl weekend. He was even honored for the work he’s done in local South Florida communities while he was incarcerated. There was one club over the weekend though where the Pompano Beach rapper ran into a bit of a scare.
There, a laser beam from an apparent gun was shown on Kodak’s shirt and from that point, he was quickly escorted from his section by his security guard.
Kodak Denies That A Gun Was Pointed At Him
On Thursday, Kodak took to his Instagram feed to speak on this incident. He claims that there was no laser beam on his shirt and that nobody would dare try that on him.
You n***as on some crazy, like, Instagram, phone effects, like, putting beams on my clothes and sh*t like a b*tch had a beam on me," said Kodak in his IG video. "Nobody's brain even gon' register like that, like, 'let me put a beam on Yak.' But I'm happy though. I'm in a happy space.”
Kodak Refuses To Let The Internet Bother Him
Kodak also emphasized that he won't be letting anyone bother him like this. He added that he’ll “smush“ people if things came down to it.
The reality is you n***as not gon' play with me in real life. I had kind of lost my way and had started feeding into this internet sh*t and had started going live and responding. But it had me like I'm lane-vibing. Every time I try to play with you n***as or politic with you n***as or network, I be feeling like I'm lane-vibing. So I don't even play with you n***as. In reality, you n***as know I'll smush one of you people."
Kodak Was Pardoned By Donald Trump In Last Day In Office
Hip-Hop fans were stunned in January as it was announced that Kodak was pardoned by Donald Trump in his last day as president. In addition to Kodak, Lil Wayne was also pardoned. Wayne was scheduled to be sentenced in March on federal gun charges. Kodak was serving a 46-month sentence for falsifying information on firearms in 2019. He was arrested at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami and sentenced that November. Kodak’s prison release date would’ve been scheduled for August 2022.
Kodak Has Continued To Give Back To The Community
During the holidays, Kodak helped out in Pompano Beach with some very nice gestures. In November, he spent $15,000 to give out 1,000 turkeys for Thanksgiving. Food and drinks were also provided. For Christmas, Kodak also pitched in for as well as he threw a toy drive. $20,000 was spent to make this happen as items such as dolls, stuffed animals, and Legos were provided.
Last week, Kodak also offered to cover future college tuition payments for the children of the two FBI agents who were recently killed in Sunrise, FL.
