'Hawkeye' Star Risked His Own Life Trying To Save Nephew From Snow Plow Accident

As he recovers from the harrowing incident, The Blast shared that a report revealed a few more details that were not known at the time it happened. The incident report by the Nevada sheriff's office shed light on what happened.

It turns out that the father-of-one was trying to save his adult nephew from being crushed by the snow plow when the accident occurred. CNN reported that Renner did not activate the emergency brake on the machine, which started sliding sideways after he used it to pull a vehicle out of the snow.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office report noted that the equipment had some mechanical issues, but if he had pulled on the parking brake, it would have stopped it from moving, thereby averting disaster.

It also disclosed that Renner was pulled under by the track and ran over, breaking over thirty bones when he tried to change its direction. His nephew is said to have pulled him out and waited for medical assistance before they were airlifted to a trauma center.
