In a stunning turn of events, theft accomplice Jennifer McBride has taken legal steps against Lady Gaga and is reportedly seeking a $500,000 reward and an additional $1.5 million in damages.
The woman returned the mega star's stolen French bulldogs two days after they were dognapped at gunpoint in hopes of claiming the whooping reward sum. After being arrested and charged for her close relationship with the father of one of the attackers, she pleaded no contest and was given two-year probation.
To recoup her losses, McBride filed a lawsuit against Lady Gaga and is demanding $1.5 million in damages from the Grammy award-winning artist for not honoring her $500k "no questions asked" reward for the safe return of her dogs.

Woman Charged In Dog Theft Demands Reward And Sues Lady Gaga
According to a report by TMZ, the woman who was charged in relation to the theft of Lady Gaga's French bulldogs is now taking legal action against the pop star. Per the publication, Jennifer McBride claims that the singer still needs to fulfill her promise of offering a $500,000 reward for the safe return of her beloved pets.
Lady Gaga disclosed the reward in February 2021, right after two of her pups, Koji and Gustav, were kidnapped from her dog walker at gunpoint. In the announcement, she had promised to pay the six-figure sum "no questions asked" if her pups were returned unharmed.
Jennifer McBride Charged For Her Relationship With Assailants
The theft had taken place when Gaga's dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was held at gunpoint while strolling along North Sierra Bonita Avenue, and Koji and Gustav were stolen from him. The incident caused a stir on social media, with fans expressing their concern and offering support to the "Stupid Love" singer.
According to TMZ, Jennifer McBride asserts that she returned Lady Gaga's French bulldogs to her at the LAPD Olympic Community station on February 26, 2021, just two days after they were dognapped, and alleges that despite meeting the conditions for the reward, she has not received the promised amount.
Instead, since coming forward with the stolen pups, McBride has been charged in relation to the theft and accused of being an accessory to the crime, as well as receiving stolen property. She allegedly had a relationship with the father of one of the criminals who attacked Gaga's dog walker, Ryan Fischer.
Jennifer McBride Pleads No Contest To Dog Theft, Receives Probation
In connection with the theft of the bulldogs, McBride eventually pled no contest to one count of receiving stolen property and was slapped with two years of probation. Per TMZ, McBride is seeking damages of $1.5 million as she alleges the singer posted a misleading reward for the safe return of her dogs.
In response to the lawsuit, L.A. County Deputy District Attorney, Michele Hanisee, tells the news outlet that McBride was fully aware the pups were stolen and only returned them in hopes of obtaining the reward.
The incident garnered media attention, with fans waiting to see how the legal battle between McBride and Gaga would unfold. Lady Gaga's reps have remained tightlipped about the situation and are yet to respond to requests for comment, according to TMZ.
Lady Gaga's Dog Walker Assaulted By Multiple Men
As previously reported by The Blast, Fischer was walking three of Lady Gaga's French bulldogs - Gustav, Koji, and Miss Asia when multiple men viciously attacked him.
The assailants stole two of the dogs and shot Fischer in the chest. The dog-walker was subsequently hospitalized and fortunately survived the attack. He has since recovered from the critical injuries. The incident occurred on February 24, 2021
One of the assailants, James Howard Jackson, was identified by police as the main perpetrator and charged. He pled no contest to one count of attempted murder, and as a result, he was sentenced to 21 years in prison.
