Last week, the hip-hop world was shocked after Donald Trump pardoned both Lil Wayne and Kodak Black

Many anticipated that this would happen though after the two rappers endorsed Trump for president back in late October. Others figured that Kodak and Wayne ended up doing this simply to end up getting their pardons.

There are also debates of whether or not people would do what they did in order to avoid lengthy prison sentences like Kodak was serving and how Wayne was almost about to this March.

Kodak was so appreciative of the help that his attorney, Bradford Cohen, has put in for him legally over the years. The love is now at the point where Kodak has now gotten a tattoo of Cohen's name on the side of his hand. It reads "Brad Cohen."

Kodak also took to Twitter to say that he views Cohen as a father figure. He helped Kodak avoid serving a full 46-month sentence in this Trump pardon. He was jailed in May 2019 for federal firearm charges and sentenced in November of that year.

Cohen Also Addressed Kodak's Deleted Tweet About Donating $1 Million To Charity If Pardoned

Back in November, Kodak put out a tweet saying how he would donate $1 million within a year if he got pardoned. After the pardon happened, that got deleted and the Florida rapper got immediate backlash. Cohen took to his Instagram feed to defend Kodak and explain that he's already donated a lot of money lately.

"Instead of harping on a young black man and how much charity he does, why don't we take a look at the amount of charity the writers of these articles do....last week Kodak pledged 100k to setting up a scholarship fund in the name of Meadow Pollack, the week before he donated 50k to barstool fund to help small businesses. That's 150k and he's been out 5 days."

Cohen did make some solid points when it comes to the charity work that Kodak has done. Putting that tweet out and deleting it wasn't a good look though. Either way, he has been making moves happen. Other charitable works included donating 1,000 turkeys to residents of Pompano Beach for Thanksgiving.

TMZreported that he spent $15,000 in making this happen. For Christmas, Kodak held a toy drive in Pompano for Christmas as well. $20,000 was spent in order to give out items such as dolls, stuffed animals, and Legos.

Kodak Has Also Been Thanking Trump For Pardon

Since getting out of prison, Kodak also made sure to thank Trump on Twitter. He also acknowledged his supporters who've shown love during his incarceration. Additional tweets also came in thanking the former president who faces a second impeachment trial soon.

"I Want To Thank The President @RealDonaldTrump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence. I Also Want To Thank Everyone For Their Support And Love. It Means More Than You Will Ever Know. I Want To Continue Giving Back, Learning And Growing. @DanScavino."
