Inside Gomez's Hectic Week On Social Media

After she posted multiple TikToks wherein she uses an eyebrow filter, TikTok users would pick up on the fact Kylie Jenner posted an Instagram story featuring a selfie where the Kylie Cosmetics CEO said her heavily made-up eyebrows had been "an accident." In one of Gomez's TikToks, she jokes she "accidentally laminated my 'brows too much."

The Blast covered a selection of TikToks linking Jenner's photo and Gomez's TikTok together; multiple creators would explore whether Jenner had been intentionally throwing shade at Gomez, especially emphasizing the fact Jenner had reportedly tagged Hailey Bieber in the photo.

Bieber and Gomez have been linked together in the press and on social media for years; the timeline of Beiber's relationship with her now-husband and Gomez's ex, Justin, remains a particular topic of interest. The Biebers allegedly began dating a month after Justin called it quits with Gomez for the final time. The pair dated for four years.

Gomez attempted to put the speculation to rest when she commented on a widely circulated TikTok about the alleged feud with Jenner; she would echo Jenner's comment where she said the idea of intentionally mocking Gomez's TikToks had been "reaching."

"Agreed @kyliejenner It's all unnecessary," Gomez said, before adding, "I'm a fan of Kylie!"

Gomez would continue to make headlines after she later commented on an allegedly out-of-context video of Bieber, where she can be seen visibly mocking Gomez's close friend, Taylor Swift.

Swift would defend her pal by commenting, "So sorry, my best friend is, and continues to be one of the best in the game."

Social media would quickly catch wind of Gomez's defense with Twitter conversations and TikToks made about the "Lose You To Love Me" singer standing up for her pal.

Many would criticize Gomez for her actions, accusing her of "being obsessed" with Bieber. (via The Blast)
