Adele Hilariously Talks About Being A 'Constant Meme' After Viral Super Bowl Clip

The English singer has earned a soft spot in people's hearts following her dramatic but sweet gesture at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime show that saw Rihanna wow her audience with a standing-ovation performance.

The "Easy On Me" singer, after recently learning about her fame on the internet and how she's been turned into a viral meme, jokingly lamented about her new status during weekend 12 of her Las Vegas Residency.

The sixteen-time Grammy Award winner isn't only talented musically, but she appears to have a knack for comedy and always ensures to leave her fans satisfyingly entertained. 

During a recent performance at her ongoing Las Vegas residency, the "Hello" singer confirmed fans' guesses about her hilarious acts at the widely watched sports event.

Donning a glittering black dress, she wittily said to her overly excited audience, "I've gotta tell you… It's hard work being a constant meme. Everyone was texting me a meme of myself looking — I don't know what I looked like."

Adele then went on to suggest that people possibly found her amusing because of her mobile face, which she added hasn't had any Botox treatments. She further explained how she spoke highly of Rihanna and was anticipating her performance at the halftime game show.

Clarifying what she was saying in the viral meme, she remarked, "I was saying she's gonna be fine. She's gonna like, have some weed and be fine. But clearly, she couldn't have any weed because she's pregnant"!

Her entertaining revelation did not only spark several giggles from her audience but the "Set Fire To The Rain" singer was also in a fit of laughter as she enjoined the beautiful night with her ever-loyal supporters.

As previously covered, Adele inspired another hilarious meme after she put up a mini-show where she was seated as she cheered on Rihanna, who was minutes away from giving a mind-blowing performance at the 2023 Super Bowl. The mom of one, during one of her Las Vegas residency shows, had earlier declared that she wasn't interested in the big game but rather was making an appearance solely for the "Diamonds" singer's performance.

And things turned out exactly the way she noted, as eagle-eyed fans noticed that while the "Rolling In The Deep" singer was sitting in the VIP section of the stadium with her boyfriend Rich Paul, she actually looked like she showed up solely for Rihanna.

The fantastic performer was captured on video wearing huge sunglasses and nonchalantly sipping her drink before seemingly shushing the crowd moments before the halftime show,  as she appeared to make a "zip it" gesture. The captivating moment went viral on the internet, and fans couldn't get enough of the entertainer's dramatic expression, with one writing on Twitter, "Adele at the Super Bowl just for Rihanna she's so real."

Another tweeted, "It's so us rn like can we just skip to the queen's performance." Declaring their thoughts out loud, a third wrote, "Adele is just like us. Here for Rihanna nothing more."

One person noted, "Adele can headline next year and she doesn't even have to perform, just sit, look pretty, and give us memes. I'll be entertained," while another suggested, "Adele needs to be invited to every sports event for her reactions."

While she credited her win to her muse and son, Angelo, whom she had while married to her ex-husband Simon Konecki, the entertainer further revealed how her boyfriend, Paul, prepped her not to shed a tear while giving her speech.
