“When he put feelers out, Tom was one of the first people to come back and say he would love to do it,” they added. “They’re planning when they can film, and making their schedules align.”

It was announced in April 2022 that the British actor, singer and comedian will depart his beloved talk show, “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” ahead of summer 2023.

Earlier this year, he appeared on “NBC10 Boston’s Today” and revealed that he’s not the “real James Corden” on TV.

“I guess I see it all as a performance, really,” he admitted. “I see it all as a character that I’m sort of playing.”

He’s definitely a skilled actor having appeared in several movie-musical adaptations including, “Into The Woods,” “Cinderella” and “Cats.”

Corden is also famous for creating his “Carpool Karaoke” and “Crosswalk the Musical” series, which are big performances in it of themselves.

He put his “performance” on TV statement into perspective saying, “Like, it would be odd if I got home and opened the fridge and was like, ‘Look who’s here tonight! Stick around, we’ll be right back!'”

While Corden is leaving his late-night talk-show, he’s not leaving TV screens.

His current project is titled, “Mammals,” an Amazon Prime Video series.

The British star explained the difference between hosting a talk show and a video series is “the time” it takes to film them.

“Our [Late Late] show is an hour a day,” Corden explained.

While explaining what it takes to shoot “Mammals,” he said, “This entire series is two hours and forty minutes.”

Last year, Corden has been at the center of restaurant etiquette controversy and joke stealing.

Additionally, he was called out for horrid behavior toward restaurant staff at Balthazar, with the restaurant’s owner calling him out publicly.

In October 2022, he was called out for stealing a Ricky Gervais joke and using it on ‘The Late Late Show.’

The entire bit sounded eerily similar exactly like a bit Ricky Gervais told back in 2018, and the British comedian responded to Corden.
