James Corden is preparing to depart from his late-night talk-show, and it’s clear he’s letting his guard down.

It was announced in April 2022 that the British actor, singer and comedian will depart his beloved talk show in 2023.

He recently appeared on “NBC10 Boston’s Today” and revealed that he’s not the “real James Corden” on TV.

Rather, he’s “performing” and “playing a character” while appearing on ‘The Late Late Show.’

“I guess I see it all as a performance, really,” he admitted. “I see it all as a character that I’m sort of playing.”

He’s definitely a skilled actor having appeared in several movie-musical adaptations including, “Into The Woods,” “Cinderella” and “Cats.”

Corden is also famous for creating his “Carpool Karaoke” and “Crosswalk the Musical” series, which are big performances in it of themselves.

He put his “performance” on TV statement into perspective.

“Like, it would be odd if I got home and opened the fridge and was like, ‘Look who’s here tonight! Stick around, we’ll be right back,’” he explained.
