During a recently published interview with Variety, Pink spoke about how she gained and lost 36 pounds during the COVID-19 pandemic. The singer said, "Having breaks is good for my voice. Not so good for the body. Especially during COVID — I gained 36 pounds. All I did was make sourdough and then eat the sourdough."

Pink also shared that in the same year, she had hip surgery and a double disc replacement surgery in her neck area, which made her recovery more difficult. However, the "Just Give me a reason" singer said that now she's lost the weight, she's basically "the bionic woman."

She said, per Page Six, "I've lost those 36 pounds, and I am stronger than I've ever been in my life. And I'm ready to go [on tour], and I'm ready to get the hell out of here. I've been home way too long."

The singer continued per Page Six, "It is humbling for a very independent person like myself to be rendered physically unable and dependent, even if for a couple of months. I'm learning the gift of accepting help. My journey will be quick and intentional, and I will make a full recovery. For that I am so blessed."

The last few years haven't been easy for Pink or her family, which includes her husband, Carey Hart, their daughter Willow, and son Jameson. Pink and Jameson both had extreme cases of COVID-19 back when the virus was still spreading. However, both thankfully recovered from the virus entirely.

Hart, meanwhile, also had a terrible chest infection that required a catheter for his recovery. At the time, he made an Instagram post on the illness, which read, "Well this sucks. Found out a couple days before Christmas that I have an infection in some old hardware in my body."

In her new interview with Variety, Pink spoke about exploring her various emotions during the creation of her latest album, "Trustfall."

She said, "I feel like we're all in this constant state of overwhelm, and so we put our feelings away just so that we can get through a day. I wanted to find a way back to the truth and the authentic feelings… That's how I am as a person. If you ask me how I am, how much time do you have?"
