Meghan King’s life after her divorce from Jim Edmonds hasn’t been smooth, as she emotionally lamented the occurrence in a recent update.
The estranged couple got married in 2014, and from that marriage, they had three Kids, Aspen, Hart, and Hayes. Sadly, they called it quits in 2019, and since then, the two have had back-and-forth squabble concerning their kids and everything else.
Now, three years after the divorce, “The Real Housewives Of Orange County” alum reveals how life has been for her, saying it has been “worse.”
Meghan King Has Emotional Outburst About Her Life Post Divorce
For fans who have been wondering how the Bravo Star has been faring after the divorce from Edmonds, her new update revealed it all. King shared a clip on her Instagram Story of herself with a makeup-free look as she tearfully opened up about her feelings.
The former reality star was seated in her home with her blonde hair packed roughly and a frustrated look on her face. “Nobody really talks about coercive control and the after-effects of divorce,” King said while wiping away tears. “People say, ‘It’ll get better in time. It’ll get better with time.’ It’s been three years.”
She continued, “When? What time do I have to wait for? The lawyers told me that. My parental coordinator, everyone told me that. It’s not better. It’s worse.”
After that brief emotional outburst, King decided to relieve herself of the bitter feelings, so she purged her closet. In another video on King’s Instagram stories, she explained the process saying, “So if I’m upset, which I am, I’m having a rough day, I tell myself, ‘Meg you gotta pull it together. So what you gonna do?’ So I did something symbolic, which is purging.”
She further shared that she had done her hair and makeup, saying that it was what she needed to do to “release the bad energy and start over.” King’s outburst comes after Edmonds accused her of keeping their kids away from him.
As we previously published, the retired baseball player first hinted at having visitation problems with King on his Instagram stories. He posted a quote that read, “Sad when your ex tells the kids you don’t want to see them when you’re busy then doesn’t let you see them when you’re out of town. Unknown…”
The former athlete’s representative then disclosed to Page Six that the 38-year-old hired a nanny to look after their kids while away on her Gaia Wellness retreat rather than let her ex-husband look after them while she was on a retreat.
The spokesperson said, “Jim thinks it’s really sad the kids are being left with a nanny instead of their father, who changed his Super Bowl plans so he could be with them. “Hopefully, Meghan enjoys her narcissism retreat.”
The 'RHOC' Alum Claims Ex-husband Jim Edmonds Is In Denial Of Hart’s Illness
One of the things the “Say Yes to the Dress” star is seemingly sad about concerning her life post-divorce is her ex-husband's denial of their son Hart’s health condition.
King explained in her “Intimate Knowledge” podcast her ex’s ignorance about Hart’s disease. “Hart has cerebral palsy, Jim,” King said before rhetorically asking, “What kind of father doesn’t know that?” The reality star further expressed that she feels “sad” for Jim because he is so hung up on the whole issue, saying it breaks her heart.
Meghan shed more light on the situation, claiming that Jim has neither inquired about Hart’s illness nor attended any of the specialist appointments. She explained, “When I say that, I mean neurologist, ophthalmologist, audiologist — he’s never gone to one IEP [Individualized Education Program] meeting. None of that!”
Additionally, the advocate disclosed that Jim hasn’t even “asked to see” his son’s medical records for any confirmation of insight. Throughout the conversation, the reality star managed to keep her voice in check, but it was noticeable that she was upset about the whole thing.
The mom of three continued highlighting her situation, insisting that the baseball player choose to ignore the illness. “He has access to them,” she insisted. “He has access to the CP diagnosis. It has been given to all [Hart’s] schools, all his teachers. I have them printed out in Hart’s file sitting right next to me.”
