Rebel Wilson‘s love life is influencing her business choices!
Since announcing her relationship with her girlfriend, Ramona Agruma, in June 2022, Wilson has shown the world that she is committed to the cause. So far, the couple has attended significant events together and is co-parenting a daughter, Royce, whom the actress welcomed via surrogate last November. Now, the “Pitch Perfect” star has revealed how her relationship enabled her to create a dating app.

Although Wilson and Agruma began dating on the heels of the former’s year-long break dedicated to her growth and health, the actress was more than ready for the serious relationship she now has.
Beyond co-parenting their three-month-old baby girl, the couple’s love is an inspiration to achieve more success. Wilson proved just how far that inspiration went when she announced that she was releasing a new dating app called Fluid. In her words:
“This is the first dating app where you don’t have to actually define yourself or tick a box to say ‘I’m straight, I’m gay, I’m bisexual,’ and you don’t have to describe what you are looking for. It’s kind of love with no labels.”
After noting that the app “covers a lot of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum,” with space for straight people to “use the app and have an amazing time,” the “Senior Year” star explained to PEOPLE:
“The algorithm just picks up who you are vibing with and how much time you spend on certain profiles and it’s open enough so that if your sexuality moves into a different direction, it will follow because of what you are preferring on the app. The algorithm works on interests as well.”
Wilson further shared that if this kind of app had been around five years ago, she would have found out about her sexuality sooner, stating, “I never thought I was 100 percent straight. I don’t quite know how to define my sexuality, but I do know there’s a lot of people out there that don’t want to totally define it either.”
The Australian Theatre for Young People graduate detailed that her connection with Agruma shocked her because she thought she “was really looking for a husband, dating about 50 guys in one year.”
She soon began questioning if the part of her that enjoyed “deep friendships with women” was one that she was “repressing and not exploring?” With the consistent studying she had to do to make her soon-to-be-released app the best, Wilson began to see how much sexuality went beyond “just saying straight or gay.”
While she has yet to figure out what category she would fit into 100%, Wilson is excited to be in a “great same-sex relationship now, and it’s awesome.” Fans can download the “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” actress’ app from the Apple App Store later this month.

Wilson has always taken advantage of an opportunity to gush about Agruma, whom she began dating four months after splitting from businessman Jacob Busch last February. To that end, the otherwise private star took to her Instagram Story to commemorate her girlfriend’s 39th birthday with a sweet message, according to The Blast.
A picture featuring the “Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie” actress and the jewelry designer wearing matching white tracksuits adored the former’s Story. While Wilson paired her ensemble with a black handbag, sneakers, and a gray and white jacket, her girlfriend opted for a blue jacket, matching sling bag, and pink Ugg boots.
Across the image, the “Confessions of an Exchange Student” producer wrote, “Happy Birthday @ramonaagruma You’ve brought so much magic into my life.” A second pic showcasing the lovebirds sharing a hug during the baby shower they held for Royce came with the words, “You’re the cutest @ramonaagruma.”
The 42-year-old donned a pink gown and gold low-heeled pumps while the celebrant shone in a white ruffle dress and slippers. A third photo showed the couple wearing white and green ensembles and sunglasses at the beach.
Agruma and Wilson sat in front of a wooden table littered with a few items, with the sustainable clothing designer placing her left hand on the actress’s thigh.
