Proud Mom Kimora Lee Simmons Cheers On Daughter Aoki During NYFW

Aoki Lee Simmons has been busy walking runways this week during New York Fashion Week.

During her last NYFW as a Harvard University student, since she's getting ready to graduate, Aoki has had plenty of support by her side this week. Her mom, Kimora Lee Simmons, model and founder of Baby Phat, along with her sister Ming Lee, were present cheering Aoki on every step of the way.

Kimora, a veteran model herself, sat in the front row of Sergio Hudson's runway show over the weekend cheering on daughter Aoki, 20, as she walked the runway twice. Hudson, known for high-profile clients, unveiled his latest collection of nostalgic 90s style pieces at Spring Studios in Manhattan this week.

Hudson told the Associated Press that he wasn't designing this year's collection with anyone specific in mind. "I am proud of the American fashion industry for the strides they made to be more inclusive," he said. "They have made a quantum leap in the past year or two."

Aoki shared a carousel of photos and videos on her Instagram page of the exciting runway show. She captioned it, "Sergio’s angelssss ?? Thank you so much @sergiohudson for including me in your show, your vision of the modern fabulous fierce ADULT woman, and giving my mom a chance to holler her notes at me from the front row! Your continued faith in me over the past year has changed my life, my career, and my image of myself forever. Teenager where??? We adore youu and I hope to never ever let you down! ???"

In the carousel, Kimora's pride shines through as she's supporting her daughter as she strutted her stuff down the runway wearing a charcoal denim long-sleeve button front shirt and shorts with a black belt and black platform heels as Megan Thee Stallion's song "Her" loudly played.

Aoki also walked in Kim Shui's show and shared some highlights in a carousel of photos and videos on Instagram. This show excitedly marked the first time she opened a NYFW show since she was a young child.

"My first time opening an NYFW show since I was half this height ? l clearly I have a thing for bada$$ Asian women designers who’s names start with K! @kimshuistudio ?? Thank you so much for including me, for trusting me with your art and the incredible message you send to the world, to women, to aapi people and to the fashion industry on what we can do!!! Proud to wear this K ?," Aoki captioned the social media post.

Aoki also shared some moments from all the excitement in her Instagram Stories.

Kimora spoke about how proud she is of her look-a-like daughter after Kim Shui's show in a NYFW Instagram Story. "I love you Aoki. You did a great job," she said enthusiastically. In the next slide, Aoki's sister Ming spoke about the experience. "I literally just saw my baby sister walk down the runway naked and she slayed that sh-- and I'm so, so happy for her," Ming said.
