Travis Kelce On Beating His Big Brother In The Super Bowl
After the game, Travis spoke out on what it feels like to beat his brother on the field at the biggest game of the NFL season.
“There’s nothing you can really say to a loved one in a situation like that,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said as he held back tears after the game. “You joke around all the time and say you want to beat your brother on the biggest stage, but it’s a weird feeling.”

The game was a constant back and forth for the entire four quarters, making it an exciting and close ending. On how the Philadelphia Eagles played, Travis said, “That team had great leadership, great coaches and it came down to the end. We have all the respect in the world for those Eagles.”
“There’s nothing I can say to [Jason] other than I love him and he played a hell of a year, a hell of a season,” the Kansas City Chiefs player continued to say.
Travis Kelce Says This Was The ‘Happiest Year’ Of His Life
Travis Kelce had an incredible NFL season, bringing in a total of 1,338 receiving yards, which is the eighth-highest overall, and 12 touchdowns, which puts him in second place overall. He and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes have chemistry both on and off the field as the two friends just connect and understand one another, which helped them bring home the Vince Lombardi Trophy last night.
Donna Kelce, Travis and Jason’s mom, began making headlines leading up to the big game, with fans even starting a petition to have her take part in the coin toss at the beginning of the game. Although she did not partake in the coin toss, she did make several appearances on the jumbotron and had many interviews leading up to the Super Bowl, which made Travis happy.
“I feel like this was the happiest year of my life — both off the field, on the field,” Travis said. “To see my family be in all its glory and get all its flowers, my mom be the center of attention on the jumbotron before the game on the biggest stage and being able to get closer with my brother throughout the season and to meet him at the mountain top, it’s the best feeling in the world.”
He added, “I don’t know how many more I got left, but I’ll cherish this one forever.”
After the game, Donna Kelce shared a beautiful moment with Jason as she hugged him and comforted him after he lost the Super Bowl to his younger brother.
