Maria Menounos Manifested Her Baby But Didn't Expect This Slip Up

Maria Menounos announced she is going to be a mom of one but she was almost a mom of two after manifesting twin embryos.

The journalist shared that while she is beyond overjoyed to be expecting a child with her husband of five years Keven Undergaro, she can’t help but reflect on what could have been with the second embryo that didn’t implant.

Maria detailed the account on an upcoming episode of her podcast, Heal Squad. “I really, really believed we were gonna have two,” she reflected on the moment. “We did implant two.” Marie shared that the thought would take over her mind.

She just assumed that because she implanted two embryo’s she would be a mom of two, hands down but that wasn’t the case for her and Keven. “I would talk to them at night in my prayers and I really thought that was gonna work out.”

The actress, 44 shared how she found out that she was expecting only one baby after assuming that two would be in her future. The surrogate called her over zoom to give an update on where they were at in the process.

“The surrogate was like 'baby is doing great.' So here's me and Keven in front of the iPad, we're so excited, we're gonna find out we have twins in there, it's gonna be amazing.” The key word here is 'baby', singular.

“She says, 'baby is doing great,' and the two of us just freeze,” recalls Maria. She realized that she has activated a new level of emotion. “I understood so many people's pain so fast in that moment because I really was sure we were gonna have two.”

The news left Maria and Kevin, 55, with a mixed bag of emotions.

Maria, at that moment, had a visceral reaction. “Tears were streaming down my face,” and while she had more of an internal reaction she tried to focus on the positive. She had to do a “mental switch.”

“You just have to be grateful for what you have and we are so grateful,” noted Maria. “I do believe that God knows what we can handle.” After all, the former Today Show host is just happy to be able to have one child in her life after struggling for nearly a decade.

She announced the blessed news at t beginning of the month. “Just after a decade of trying everything, we are so grateful to the beautiful family helping us conceive our baby,” she announced with a cute photo of herself holding a onesie and Keven holding a sign that says “we’re having a baby”.

Maria added that she and her husband and her father, “are all beyond excited for this soul to come into our lives. What a blessing.” The journalist also shared that her celebrity pals, Kim Kardashian and Zoe Saldana for helping her with this process and shared a sweet message to her late mom.

“I know my mom had a cup of greek coffee with god and said it’s time. So grateful for the blessing in our lives.”
