Maria Menounos Jokes: I Was 'Hung Upside Down Like A Chicken' Trying To Get Pregnant

Maria Menounos is going to be a MOM!

The former E! News host announced the exciting news on national TV.

Menounos and her husband, Keven Undergaro, have been trying for years to conceive their own child.

During her Tuesday, February 7th, appearance on “Live with Kelly [Ripa] & Ryan [Seacrest],” Menounos announced her upcoming summer travels have been flipped upside down, because… “we’re having a baby.”

The couple was set to go to Greece over the summer, but had to push up those plans, due to their little bundle of joy’s earth side entrance.

Menounos got emotional during the announcement and expressed that she’s “grateful.”

Seacrest asked how she’s feeling to which she replied, “I’m emotional. I’m so excited.”

She explained her and Undergaro have been trying for almost a decade for a baby.

“It’s been a long time. I mean, we’ve tried everything… literally everything! They’ve tried to get me pregnant, that didn’t work. Keven had a surgery that didn’t work. He’s Hung me upside down like a chicken, THAT DIDN’T WORK,” she said humorously. “In fact, Zoe Saldana and Kim Kardashian have been so helpful to me through this journey and they both gave me all their advice and people, and Kim especially gave me this wonderful lawyer named Andy and he found me this woman, Stephanie, who helped me find my surrogate. Or, our surrogate, honey.”

Ripa added, “Surrogates are angels. I always say that.”

Menounos added, “This is so surreal. This is wild!”

Kim also recently helped Paris Hilton prepare for a baby via surrogate.

Hilton announced that she and her husband, Carter Reum, had welcomed a baby boy via surrogate.

Per reports, the California native has been a crucial part of the “This is Paris” star’s journey to motherhood. From attending the couple’s lavish Bel-Air wedding to introducing them to a fertility specialist.

Hilton previously revealed her plans to welcome her first child via surrogacy and embarked on the IVF journey months before the Coronavirus pandemic swept the world. In 2021, the entrepreneur discussed her fertility process with the journalist Mara Schiavocampo on her podcast “The Trend Reporter.”

During their conversation, the “Paris in Love” star credited the KKW Beauty founder for helping her through the IVF process by recommending her fertility specialist, Dr. Andy Huang. “I didn’t even know anything about it,” the New Yorker confessed, “I’m happy that she told me that advice and introduced me to her doctor.”

The TV personality also revealed that she and Reum underwent the egg extraction procedure a few times in hopes of getting twins.
