Jim Edmonds Accused Meghan King Of Isolating Him From Their Children
Being a parent to three young children is a difficult task, especially when you have to co-parent with an ex-lover. On February 9, the former MLB player expressed his displeasure with King over her management of their wards.
The California native shared his distaste for the situation on his Instagram Story, hinting at visitation problems through an anonymous quote and a mind-blown gif. The message read, "Sad when your ex tells the kids you don't want to see them when you’re busy then doesn't let you see them when you're out of town. Unknown..."
Edmonds' qualms with "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star were over the blonde bombshell prioritizing herself instead of their children. The former athlete's representative revealed to Page Six that the 38-year-old hired a nanny to watch the kids rather than enlist her ex-husband's services while she was on a retreat.
"Jim thinks it's really sad the kids are being left with a nanny instead of their father, who changed his Super Bowl plans so he could be with them," the spokesperson said. "Hopefully, Meghan enjoys her narcissism retreat."
Another insider explained that the 4-time All-Star honoree initially planned to travel to Las Vegas for this year's Super Bowl. However, the 52-year-old canceled his trip after discovering King's intention to leave their children with a nanny.
"At the last minute, Meghan decides she would rather leave the kids with the nanny, so Jim is left with no Super Bowl plans and no kids," the source lamented to the news outlet.
While Edmonds was stuck at home, dealing with his feelings for his ex-wife, the "Say Yes to the Dress" alum has been living it up at her Sedona, Ariz retreat. The Missouri native's social media page was filled with numerous pictures and videos from the wellness experience.
King shared her excitement for the trip, which is a collaborative project with Gaia Haven Wellness, in an Instagram post, where she called out haters for affecting her emotional well-being. The entertainer noted that she could not wait for the event, focusing on women's self-care and overall growth.
Additionally, she needed the trip to rejuvenate her physical and emotional health after her bittersweet experience of juggling motherhood with her career. Despite the difficulties she experienced in her private life, internet trolls added to the mother-of-three's problems with their never-ending criticisms. "The incredible amount of hate I've gotten for traveling to Cabo during 4 of my custodial days was VILE," the TV personality confessed.
King warned haters to leave her alone if they could not support her decision to live as a "mom and entrepreneur." According to the 38-year-old, people attacked her behind the scenes, and she did not need the same treatment from strangers on the internet.

Last month, The Blast reported that Edmonds spoke out against his ex-wife, whom he tagged as a frequent liar. The World Series champion and King were married for five years before separating in 2019. Their divorce was finalized in 2021. However, peace did not follow.
Although the former athlete found love again with his current wife, Kortnie O’Connor, in 2022, the 52-year-old cannot forget his ex-wife's malicious behavior. On an episode of the "Hollywood Raw Podcast," the aggrieved spouse noted he was tired of King's constant lies about him.
He accused the 38-year-old of ruining his name with false information for over three years, stating that he doubted the truth had ever come of the TV personality's mouth since their relationship.
The eight-time Gold Glove Award winner confessed that a nanny needed to be present whenever there was any in-person exchange of the kids. Additionally, Edmonds noted that the former spouses would never be able to peacefully interact until the "Resale Royalty" alum stopped talking.
