Scott Porter is known for his role as Jason Street in the NBC television drama “Friday Night Lights”, but more recently he has captivated fans of Netflix’s original series “Ginny & Georgia” where he plays Mayor Paul Randolph.
The beloved actor just celebrated the release of “Ginny & Georgia” season two, but when he is not filming or working, he loves spending time at the Most Magical Place On Earth — Walt Disney World.
Scott Porter Visits Animal Kingdom
Porter took to Instagram recently to share a photo dump of his time visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
“Went to #AnimalKingdom at the start of 2023 with the fam and it was….wild…,” he captioned the post, which includes a family photo in front of the iconic Tree of Life.
Off To Pandora
The Porter family also visited Pandora — World of Avatar where they snapped a family photo in front of the floating rocks.
Porter continued to write in his caption, “Got to spend time with loved ones and see old friends from when I worked there as well as make some new ones. Pandora is breathtaking.”
Behind-The-Scenes At Festival Of The Lion King
Not only did they experience Pandora, but they also headed over to Africa where they got to see the Festival of The Lion King show, and even go backstage to snap a photo with the cast and crew!
“Festival of the Lion King is just as fun as it was all those years ago when I would sing right outside it,” Porter wrote in the caption. “My old show Tarzan Rocks isn’t there anymore but it still feels like home in a way.”
The “Ginny & Georgia” star shared another image of himself, alongside his children and wife, as they ride TriceraTop Spin — an attraction located inside DinoLand, U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The ride is very similar to the Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride inside Magic Kingdom at Disney World as Guests climb aboard a flying dinosaur ride vehicle and fly high above the Park, taking in all the views.
The official Walt Disney World website states:
Climb into a 4-person triceratops gondola and prepare for liftoff! Bob up and down, forward and back, as you sail through the air to festive music. Don’t be surprised if something prehistoric appears from the giant crown in the center of the top.
Designed for little ones and the young-at-heart, TriceraTop Spin is a blast from the prehistoric past.
Flashback To The Holidays
And last but not least, the “Friday Night Lights” actor shared a photo of him and his family posing in front of the gigantic Christmas tree outside of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The holidays have since come to an end at Walt Disney World, but Porter did mention that these images were from earlier in 2023 when the decorations were still up at the Parks.
Overall, it looks like the Porter family had a “roaring” time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
