As Patrick Mahomes gets ready for the big game, he attended a media event to answer some questions regarding his ankle, his focus, and.. Rihanna?

One of the media members decided to have some fun with the Chiefs quarterback when during the event, he asked "Rihanna came out and said that you are the greatest quarterback ever. Hearing that, how does that make you feel?"

To which Mahomes responded with a huge smile on his face. "It makes me feel great! She's going to crush it at halftime. I have family members that I think are more excited about the halftime show then they are the game and so whatever Rihanna says is like the gospel so I'm glad that she went with me for that honor."

NFL and Chiefs fans alike took to the comments section of the video to stand up for Mahomes and express their thoughts on the prank.

"That’s mean, why would you say that? He is a pro and answered appropriately," one fan wrote as another said, "So instead of asking a relevant question, he just makes up some bs to waste Mahomes time 💀."

One Instagram user hilariously wrote, "Dudes probably been waiting 2 weeks to say that joke," in regards to the media member, while another fan chimed in, "Y’all better stop playing with bro before he throw for 500yards."

Which is something another fan mentioned as they shared, "He handled it beautifully though!!! You can't shake this brotha...he is just too humble and too classy!!! 😍."
