Chrissy Teigen has reacted to one of her old tweets getting quoted during a recent House Oversight Committee hearing. Although the TV personality has always been vocal about her stance on various topics, she has gone full mama bear mode whenever people cross the line regarding her family.

That was what happened in 2019 when former President Donald Trump tweeted about her "boring" husband, John Legend, and referred to her as his "filthy-mouthed" wife, prompting the third-time mom to respond with a crude tweet insulting Trump. The tweet not only included a word the politician used in his infamous "Access Hollywood" tape from the same year but resurfaced during a recent House hearing.

Chrissy Teigen's Trump Diss Grabs Attention During Twitter Hearing

While the House Republicans' hearing on Twitter's "role in suppressing the Biden laptop story" took various unexpected detours on Wednesday, the highlight involved the reemergence of Teigen's old tweet. As it turned out, a witness testified that the White House had requested the platform to remove the tweet that saw her calling Trump a "pu**y a** b**ch."

In a short clip posted amid the hearing, the witness, former Twitter employee Anika Collier Navaroli, is heard apologizing ahead of the coarse language she was about to use. She then quoted the "Cravings" author's words and explained the debacle that followed  — although this is not included in the video.

Teigen expressed her excitement under the post shared on Instagram, penning, "I don't know how to go on after this." The caption quickly caught the eye of her millions of fans and fellow celebs, with one of them taking to the comment section to tell her how to "go on."

Celebrity stylist Karla Welch wrote, "Keep on speaking the truth. That's how!" and model Brooklyn Decker commented, "I want this to be my wake-up alarm. My childrens' first dance. Our national anthem. The tune I hear on my death bed."

Makeup artist Sir John yelled, "YOU DID THAT," while journalist Katie Couric screamed her name alongside a skeleton emoji. As for her fans, one person claimed that Teigen was "telling the truth," and another reiterated that the model called Trump "what he is." "Now is the time to change your name to Chrissy Teigen-Legend," a third fan instructed.

In case you missed it, the drama between Teigen and Trump started after the latter went on a rant about a town hall meeting on criminal justice reform, tweeting that he and his fellow Republicans should be getting more recognition for signing the "First Step Act" into law.

The legislation was signed in December 2018 and included measures that eliminate "unnecessarily long federal sentences and improve conditions in federal prison." After tweeting that "people that had virtually nothing to do with it are taking the praise," the then-President took a swipe at Legend — who partook in the town hall — and his wife.

"Guys like boring musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is - but I didn't see them around when we needed help getting it passed," Trump tweeted, per CNN.

In response, Teigen wrote, "lol what a pu**y a** b**ch. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president." Trump had previously told George Bush that he could grab women by the "pu**y" during a lewd conversation between them in 2016. The pair had been on their way to film an episode of "Access Hollywood," the famous show owned by NBC.

Last year, The Blast reported that Teigen weighed in on The Justice Department's investigation into Trump's role in overturning the 2020 national election. The 76-year-old had accused the feds of breaking into his safe during a routine check that saw them allegedly turning his Palm Beach property upside down.

Addressing the issue, the Republican released a statement that partially read, "These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before."

The statement, which also claimed that the "unannounced raid" on his house was unnecessary since he had worked and cooperated with the "relevant Government agencies," birthed a reaction from Teigen.

The "Bring the Funny" judge, who was pregnant then, posted a 4D ultrasound of her unborn child on her Instagram Story. The bun in the oven appeared to be giving a thumbs-up as her expectant mother wrote, "me hearing the FBI raided mar a lago," across the image.
