Chrissy Teigen Pokes Fun At Almost Attending The Grammys

Chrissy Teigen is putting being a mom first!

The model who just welcomed a baby girl Esti with her husband, John Legend, chose to stay home rather than attend the 65th Annual Grammy Award ceremony with him and shared a picture to explain why. Teigen's husband was up for three awards — Song of the Year, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance for "God Did," which he collaborated on with DJ Khaled.

The cookbook author decided to follow the proceedings of the music industry's biggest night from the comfort of her home. She took to Instagram to share a picture alongside a hilarious but relatable caption. 

In the candid snap, the 37-year-old could be seen makeup-free and contented as she snuggled up on the couch, holding the snoozing 3-week-old on her bare chest. Giving a nod to the Grammys, she wrote in the caption:

"happy grammy day!! Had a dress fitting, looked around, and realized ….what the hell am I trying to prove here. I cannot get up, lol."

After posting, fans and fellow celebrities praised her for putting her family first and not bowing to the pressure of putting up an act. Her beau responded by complimenting her beauty by writing, "Just Sitting there fine AF," while Rachel Zoe supported her, noting, "Stay right there, beautiful Mommy." 

One follower gushed, "Looks like you've got the best seat in the house! Enjoy the snuggles!" Another reassured her by stating, "You not missing a thing." A fifth user also wrote, "?. You're holding the best award." While a sixth confirmed that she did the right thing by noting, "You made the right decision ?." 

Along with Esti, the couple shares two other kids, Luna, and son Miles, as fans would recall that they were supposed to be a family of six but unfortunately lost their son, Jack, in 2020. Nevertheless, handling two toddlers and a newborn is very stressful, as the entrepreneur likes to show through some of her Instagram posts.

The Blast shared that Teigen is very much over the moon at being a new mom and has been spending some much-needed quality time with the tiny tot. Being a very candid person, she does not shy away from giving a glimpse at what it is like raising three kids and having to work.

She disclosed her recent struggles via her story, which showed her breastfeeding Esti, who wore a pink onesie and a matching cap, while Miles stood close by, displaying his commendable counting skills. Looking exhausted, she tilted her head back as if she would rather be asleep. 

Miles let his mom capture his face in the next video as he kept counting before shyly averting his eyes. Despite her apparent tiredness, she was still able to smile proudly at his attempts.

In the last clip, the "Victoria's Secret" model carried her baby, who was done eating against her shoulder while the 4-year-old continued counting. She made a face as he got a number wrong and was gently corrected by someone in the background.

The Hollywood power couple put the devastating loss of their son Jack behind them and continued to try for a child. Their efforts were finally rewarded after three years of IVF treatments with the birth of their third baby, Esti Maxine. 

Excited at having her wishes come through, The Blast reported that she took to her social media to update fans with tons of pictures from her experience and her road to recovery.

One of those pictures that got fans in a twist featured the baby girl sleeping peacefully against her mother with her hands under her face. Wrapped in a gray blanket, the supermodel wrote in the caption, "look at u out here lookin like a baby."

Some fans pointed out in the comment section something interesting on her face. One follower wrote, "Look at those angel wings on her forehead ? ?." While another noted:

"She is beautiful! Why do I see a faint shadow or Mark on her forehead that looks like an angel?! ? ? please don't say it's just me! Her big brother Jack is looking over her xx."
