She made fun of the co-host who read their list in the wrong order. While they've disagreed several times, there's no bad blood between the stars. The hosts even plan to reboot their After Oscar Show at this year's Oscar ceremony in March.

During the Friday episode of their "Live With Kelly And Ryan" Show, Seacrest and Ripa discussed the names of dogs in America. However, per The Sun, things got awkward when Seacrest noted "Rosie" as the "top female dog name."

Ripa, who noticed the mistake, quickly corrected him by stating that "Rosie" was actually at the "bottom of the list." Shortly after, the two got into an argument about whether or not the 48-year-old read the list correctly.

This little tiff prompted Seacrest to state in an annoyed tone that he does "the American top 40 countdown," implying that he is well seasoned and understands how to properly read out a countdown list.

However, his 52-year-old co-star reignited the fire of the awkward moment by asking, "Oh do you start with number one [at the American top 40]?"

She added jokingly, "Guys, spoiler alert, Ryan starts with number one at the American top 40." Seacrest eventually gave in to Ripa and asked, "What would you like me to do next?"

Amid future plans for their talk show, the duo plans to revive their After Oscar Show this year.

The co-hosts will revive their "After Oscar Show" this year for the first time since the covid-19 pandemic hit. The episode will air on Monday, March 13th, the day after the big ceremony. Seacrest is specifically happy for this year's ceremony as he will physically interview Academy Award winners backstage.

"Kelly and Ryan and the entire 'Live' team are geared up to deliver that signature Oscar excitement to our millions of viewers at home," Live executive producer Michael Gelman said. While Ripa is excited about her co-star's Oscars opportunity, she advised Seacrest to get ready for the "chaos" that may come.

In an interview with Variety, the older co-host noted that Seacrest's work was tougher than it seemed. She also explained that backstage interviews were different from the ones he was used to. "Ryan has tons of experience obviously out on the red carpet, but I always tell him the red carpet seems very roomy compared to backstage."

She then advised him to avoid the "chaos" by making room for the celebrities to walk through. "Literally get out of the way and clear your corner – make way for the dresses." Seacrest, who has worked for almost three decades in the industry, is still nervous about the big day. However, the star is equally excited about the opportunity.

While the talk show host is happy for the chance to "chat with" famous people, he is also nervous about the ceremony. The star revealed how worried he is about messing up during the interviews. "I want to make sure I know who everybody is and I want to make sure I know what everybody's done."

Seacrest even made flashcards to help him memorize the achievements of the potential winners. The host noted some guests he'd love to talk to, like "Elvis" star Austin Butler. He then added that Tom Hanks, who also starred in the film, was one of his best actors.

Seacrest is also worried about not being ready for "spontaneous" conversations. He remarked, "People may have had a sip of something in the limo on the way."

The program will air on ABC on March 12th, with comedian Jimmy Kimmel coming back as the host of the night. In response to whether he could possibly host an Oscars ceremony, Seacrest simply noted that he wasn't "funny enough." However, he can't wait to give his best backstage at the highly-anticipated ceremony.
