Former One Direction singer, Liam Payne, and “Grey’s Anatomy” star, Ellen Pompeo, were also in attendance.

“Pitch Perfect” star Rebel Wilson and her girlfriend, Ramona Agruma, were also on the exclusive guest list.

Beyonce Got Paid $24 Million For Atlantis Performance

Per the BBC, Dubai is part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a Middle Eastern country made up of seven regions that follow strict laws and have rules against homosexuality.

Given her most recent album, “Renaissance,” was an ode to Black LGBT culture, many people were astounded that she agreed to perform in Dubai.

Following her performance there was quite a lot of backlash from the LGBTQ+ community, and many labeled Bey as a “sellout” for the performance.

However, it appears Twitter is split on the “Drunk In Love” singer’s decision to take the millions and perform.

Those Against Beyonce’s Performance Sound Off!

Twitter LIT Beyonce up for seemingly choosing money over her support for the LGBTQ+ community.

“Not only did she perform in a homophobic city, she invited a rapist too. Hayi sana her politics are questionable. She’s benefiting financially from being ‘pro black or pro LGBTQIA’ but her stances?” one person wrote.

“People have to realize whether it’s #BeyonceInDubai @RebelWilson going to Dubai or @MarkHamill liking #JKRowling’s tweet.. these people are not your friends, they’re not on your side. Don’t put them on a pedestal,” another noted.

Obviously, a multi-million-dollar paycheck attached to the performance would make anyone that isn’t Beyonce jump at the opportunity, which is why many are upset.

She’s already a multi-multi-millionaire as is her husband, Jay-Z, so it’s not likely the $24 million check will make or break her family.

“The super rich are only allied with each other. (Remember Ellen and George Q?) Of course Beyonce doesn’t *need* $24 million. But you don’t get rich by turning down money like that, and they don’t give a flying f**k where it comes from. #BeyonceInDuabi #nomoralsinmoney,” one person tweeted.

But, as the old adage goes, “there’s two sides to every story.”

On the other side of Twitter, people were defending Beyonce’s choice to perform in Dubai.

There's Two Sides Of Every... Twitter Opinion

“Truthfully, nothing wrong with Beyonce performing in Dubai plus she ain’t do nothing to the LGBTQIA+ detriment… now on the comedy side, everybody a little anti something for $24Ms lol,” a fan tweeted.

“I’m over social media & it’s performative outrage. People want to be upset at Beyonce for performing in Dubai yet are silent towards their favorite artist/celebrities performing/visiting that country. These are the same ppl that attend racist circuit parties & eat at Chik-fil-A,” one annoyed Twitter user shared.

One Beyonce fan used the platform to defend her and her Dubai fans writing, “What’s wrong with performing in Dubai. Tf. As if there aren’t Beyonce fans that would love to see her in Dubai? Or there aren’t any queer people in Dubai that are fans of these artists and would wanna see them . Are we cancelling countries now? There are good people in there two.”

The Blast is curious to know your thoughts on Beyonce’s recent performance in Dubai. Do you feel like she’s a sellout for doing the show, or do you agree that a paycheck is a paycheck and she was just getting her coin?
