TV personality Andy Cohen has opened up about the reason why he said Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi would never be a part of The "Real Housewives of New Jersey."
Cohen pointed out that what the "Jersey Shore" star represents doesn't fit into what the Real Housewives franchise stands for, likening it to "Mickey Mouse in a Bugs Bunny cartoon."
Snooki and the Bravo executive have been at odds since Cohen announced that he would not cast her on the show. She previously stated she wouldn't do "Housewives" because she doesn't like drama.

Andy Cohen And Snooki Were At 'War'
The pair were seemingly in a "public war" following Cohen's declaration that the "Jersey Shore" star would not be cast in "RHONJ."
"First of all, we are already in production on the next season of the show. So, the answer is: at no time soon would that happen," Cohen said in reference to Snooki being chosen for the Bravo reality series.
"That's a rumor that's popped up a few times over the years," Cohen continued per People magazine. "It's always something that I've kind of discounted. I've thought, it's two different shows — I don't see it."
The bravo executive acknowledged that while there were no plans to bring her on the show, Snooki would be a great fit.
"She's 32, so she's in the age range. Now, I'm starting to think, it's something to keep our eyes out for. Maybe a season 11 or 12 conversation," Cohen said.
Andy Cohen Explains Why He Said Snooki Will Not Be On 'RHONJ'
During an appearance on Radio Andy's Sirius XM, the pair discussed their public feud at length, with Cohen explaining why he said Snooki would not join the "Real Housewives Of New Jersey" cast.
Cohen acknowledged that both of them were at war but pointed out that he didn't want them in that state, to which Snooki responded, saying she didn't want that either. "You were just a little sarcastic so I had to come back," the TV personality explained.
"Someone said we should put Snooki on the jersey housewives and I said, 'I don't see it'... I was like, 'I don't see it at all. Ever,'" Cohen stated of Snooki being a part of the show. "Now here's why I said it: I view you as like, one of the faces of MTV and the face of 'Jersey Shore.'"
"And so to me, it's like putting Mickey Mouse in a Bugs Bunny cartoon," he added. "It's too different. You know what I mean?"
Snooki Didn't Like Andy Cohen's Tone
The "New Celebrity Apprentice" alum disclosed that what upset her about the issue was not the facts surrounding why Cohen thought she couldn't be cast in the show but how he said it.
Snooki, 35, explained that she wasn't mad about it but just didn't like Cohen's tone. "I just didn't like your little, 'Nah, I'm good,'" she noted, to which Cohen responded, "That's where I take it too far."
The pair then sheathed their swords as they professed their love for one another, adding that they were not at loggerheads.
Cohen explained that what caused the back and forth was that every time either of them explained the situation, it felt like they were clapping back at the other person.
Snooki Said She'll Not Do 'Housewives' Because She's Doesn't Like Drama
The reality star stated that she doesn't want to be on the show because of the drama she will have to deal with. "I'm, like, terrified because some of those girls … they get into it," she narrated during an interview with Page Six.
"Even though I'm on a reality show, I hate drama. I like positivity and I like just having a good time and going home. I just feel like that would be wild.
"Me as a 'Housewife,' I don't think I can hang," she said. "I don't really go out. I like to stay home. I like to be in bed by eight." Snooki pointed out that she's on good terms with some of the Bravo stars like Melissa Gorga and has met Teresa Giudice a few times, adding, "They're all really great."
