Lil Wayne's girlfriend Denise Bidot was seen all smiles hours before the rapper found out he is facing 10 years in prison.

The stunning model shared a candid selfie of herself on her Instagram story. Denise smirked slightly while looking directly into the camera. She captioned the post with a simple, "Hi" and the waving emoji.

Denise didn't appear to be too concerned about life in the photo. It was posted hours before she would find out her man is facing legal trouble over a December incident. He is facing a lengthy prison sentence if convicted.

Lil Wayne and Denise caused quite a stir after the rapper had a pre-election meeting with Donald Trump. The model deactivated her accounts after the meeting which lead to people thinking they broke up over politics.

According to reports, it looks like Denise recently shut down the claims she ended the romance over Trump. One fan posted a screenshot of a story talking about the alleged breakup. She replied, 'I did NOT! This is absolutely false."

The two also still follow each other on Instagram.

As The Blast previously reported, earlier today, Lil Wayne was hit with a felony case by The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. The rapper was hit with one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison if convicted.

The charge stems from an incident in December where federal agents stopped the private jet Lil Wayne was abord when it arrived at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. A bunch of drugs and a firearm were found on the plane.

Wayne's lawyer spoke out after the feds hit his client with the charge this morning. His attorney, Howard Srebnick, said at the scene Wayne was cleared to leave despite guns and drugs being found on the plane. Based on the charge, it appears the feds think Wayne possessed the gun onboard.

Howard said, "There is no allegation that he ever fired it, brandished it, used it or threatened to use it. There is no allegation that he is a dangerous person."

He added, "The charge is that because he was convicted of a felony in the past, he is prohibited from possessing a firearm."

Wayne's lawyer decided to bring up Trump's recent Supreme Court nominee/now-justice Amy Coney Barrett. He ended his statement, "Although the Supreme Court has not yet decided the constitutional question, Justice Amy Coney Barrett recently wrote an appellate dissenting opinion in which she stated that “Absent evidence that he either belongs to a dangerous category or bears individual markers of risk, permanently disqualifying [a convicted felon] from possessing a gun violates the Second Amendment.”
